I didn't really feel like giving any recommendations since he claims to have seen, or tried to watch, all the anime in the recommendation list (which smells like BS imo), but Legend of the Galactic Heroes fits the bill of a show with "protagonist with genius IQ". Its older, and much longer, but IMO its one of the best anime ever made, and a favorite of many people in this thread.

Original plan is to do it as a collaborative project of sorts, with different artists doing different interpretations art wise. Problem for me would be that the only one I find worth reading is the one from compace, everything else looks rather meh.

Starting to use religion, this is like some Fantasy version of Foundation series lolz

The only overtechnology would be guns tbh, like what the Maou said at some point, what she was introducing was a different way of thinking to change how that world works fundamentally. Both potato and maize are presumably abundant in the demon world and amounts to potato being introduced to Europe after its discovery. Rotation farming was known to them, the question was to what extent do they understand the mechanism of soil recovering. Given what the female knight's reactions were to the maou's comments about potato and use of clovers, it feels to me that among the more educated they have a good idea of how compost and nitrogen fixing works. That's what I like about the series, rather than doraemon pulling out magical tools, they introduce an extension of what is currently available and expand on the change.
