Like, Baccanno is so highly recommended and it was one of the worst anime's I've ever seen. I like philosophical/'realistic' anime. (Realistic meaning not Naruto, Bleach, Gintama, but actually believable characters.)

Another show that isn't on your MAL, but you may have possibly watched it anyway since it is on the Rec Chart, is Legend of the Galactic Heroes. One of the best anime I've ever seen. If you haven't seen that, I highly recommend it.


How bout Evangelion? Fits the bill perfectly for "philosophical/'realistic' anime". I'm pretty vocal about personally hating that show, but sounds like it might be something you would like.
