It's nothing special, but if you're only in it for the cuteness lovey-dovey feeling, then it does have its moments. It's also comedy, so I guess it depends if you prefer that or not. I really liked Bitter Virgin. Pretty short read but very good imo. While I never really read Onidere, I don't think Yandere Kanojo got old. It felt like that for a while once they were seriously dating, but now they focus on other characters a lot and the chapters that do focus on Manabu and Reina stay fresh and funny. To me, it's just a good mix-up between all the action stuff that's out there now, without being too shoujo-y.

To me, it's just a good mix-up between all the action stuff that's out there now, without being too shoujo-y. Onidere and Yandere Kanojo both have pretty much the same setting of random guy dating female school delinquent though the details are of course different. Both are romcom but rely on comedy very heavily as a form of advancing the plot/relationship but you can only use comedy so much before it stops developing anything and just becomes purely comedy, which is what both manga suffer from. Although with Yandere Kanojo, I feel it is more like the author isn't even trying to develop their relationship and is actually writing with the intent of being a comedy over a romance in which case would explain why I got so bored of it. Also, don't try to make it sound unique or special by saying you like it for it's "mix-up" compared to "action stuff" and not "shoujo-y," when that really just means it's not action and not shoujo because you can say that about anything in its genre and be correct. Not saying there's anything wrong with liking a genre because of that, but you imply, intentionally or not, that it's somehow different than other stories. Regardless, I do recommend Onidere if you liked Yandere Kanojo. It's just that there have been multiple good places to end the story on a good note but for one reason or another, it hasn't ended and now the story just feels way too drawn out with the author relying purely on comedy to continue it. Granted, both these series were never meant to be serious romance stories but romcoms can only be so long before they get boring and repetitive. And Happy Birthday Latham!

Ah, sorry if it came off that way. I really just meant that it's the only straight up comedy I'm reading right now. Between all the action series and what not, it's a nice change of pace for me, personally. It's not really anything special from a romantic comedy genere standpoint, but for me, it's the only really good one that I'm reading. I haven't caught any others that are ongoing that I like, but have read a few finished ones that were good.
