Very interesting episode in terms of Taichi. I really dont care much for the sport aspect of this anime, although I do find it nice that its something unique like Karuta (I can somewhat relate to it since I play Yugioh competitively). As for Taichi, he has a gf yet hes obviously in love with Chihaya. Even towards the end when I thought the text msg he got was from his gf saying that she wanted to break up, and he just took the spoonful from Chihaya, I thought that was his decleration of love for her, but I was mistaken. It seems he was just bothered by the fact that Arata also remembered Chihaya's birthday and when he saw her reaction to the text he just started to feel down. Very interesting indeed imo. The real story here, for me at least, is what Taichi plans to do with his emotions for Chihaya and where he wants to be with her. Taichi's situation just seems so helpless: stuck with a gf he doesnt like, and doesnt know how to convey his feelings to a girl who hasnt the slightest idea about how he feels | ||
