Well by vol 3 they have shown a fair amount of PA Oda's characters, so I guess it depends on how much more of MHHR and KPA Italia will get shown. Shouldn't be that much unless this somehow carries over Westphalia and go over a year for the 2nd year students to kick in.

The important staff of Geass was mostly the same.. the big thing different was a timeslot change. It's sad seeing people mention Sunrise and not my favourite shows though--Planetes (space garbageman), Infinite Ryvius (Lord of the Flies in space), and the Sekai series (space elves). I think the sci-fi discussion has gotten way off topic though. Necro said he was glad PIG got Guilty Crown over Sunrise because they have a better track record with sc-fi shows grounded in reality. There is a distinction between mecha shows and other sci-fi shows. One of the most common elements in mecha shows is characters with "cool toys", which happen to be big robots--that element is not really present in other types of sci-fi. Maybe people have an easier time with suspension of disbelief if there aren't giant robots fighting every other episode.

Ya dig? Not to mention I don't really like any of the characters so far. I know it's only one episode, but still... The twins seem to be pretty amusing and that's about it.

I think the bad stuff just sticks with you so much longer. I tried really hard to like 00 but that movie hurt me really bad. I just couldn't imagine how such garbage could have been created. Also, Eden was pretty good. The movies aren't done either. The grand conclusion should be coming soon.

The first movie ended on a cliffhanger, which was stupid, but fine because everyone knew there was going to be another movie. The second movie ended in deus ex machina, at which point people raged.
