Also Nichijou hands down #1 comedy of year. Did anyone else feel like Nichijou started to lose its appeal like the last 7-8 episodes? I don't know, I think part of it was my expectations were just too high. Still a really good comedy, but the last 1/3 or so just didn't feel as strong. Yea it didnt raise its level. It sorta just flatlined but it was still enjoyable. Needed more Yoshino. Also Mai is the ultimate deadpan troll. theres this to. http://myanimelist.net/anime/10278/The_iDOLM@STER You CLEARLY didn't understand the reason I linked to Xenoglossia. no I did, I just wanted to throw in the fact that the second one seems to completely dump said reason. calm down. Then again I cant really criticize anyone whos seen xenoglossia. Ive seen both mai hime and otome which seem like pretty much the same thing minus the idol factor. mie aside I wonder if they sing at the robots to make them work, like Macross 7 meets school girl. What was the reason why I linked to Xenoglossia? Explain. And then explain how quoting that and linking to The Idolmaster makes sense. That was absolutely amazing. If they made a K-ON/Gundam Fusion, id watch the shit out of it. It would be like so fking funny. Do I have to ? It seems kinda obvious again. When I said I thought it was like yugioh Id just looked up "The idolmaster" so I figured it wasnt really anything like yugioh and was just straight up sol, with singing moe girls. after which you linked the one you were talking about so I was like "oh thats what you were talking about." (which is actually closer to yugioh) And proceeded to link the one that had led to my earlier misconception. If you just followed from the beginning it wouldnt be so hard to get. I guess it was vague again. Why so on the case? lol Anyway, when do shows for the next season start airing? In particular, Fate/Zero, Horizon, Gundam Age, and Shana 3? Should be getting close to that time, right? Most stuff airs between now and end of next week. Fate/Zero this Sat I believe. Shana the Sat after that.

That's what I figured, but the name was so different I wasn't sure.
I don't read too much in this genre (beyond like Haruhi Suzumia), so I'm not terribly "anti-generic" towards it.
I just find it funny, it's like Haruhi without the needless supernatural element. And the idea for the club (making friends) is not something that I've seen done before. It was lighthearted and enjoyable.

+ Show Spoiler [Eien no Aselia 1st Playthough] +Well I'm almost at end, just long cutscene before last mission.
Tokimi suddenly changed D: I heard she had a hilarious h-scene in the original lol
LOL "If it comes to this, I'll just have to take you by force!"
I suppose total skip of scene is better than some dolphin crap.

And the idea for the club (making friends) is not something that I've seen done before. It was lighthearted and enjoyable. Since the supernatural elements of Haruhi got us Nagato and eventually Sasaki, I'd have to disagree. Hardly needless at all. Haruhi without such elements isn't Haruhi, it is another random work.
The premise of the club is pretty much irrelevant, it could've been about snorting coke and they could've done the exact same set of activities. Possibly with even more awkwardness. The characters and their relations are also pretty generic. 2 tsunderes, 2 loli, 1 fujyoshi and 1 trap + MC. I suppose there isn't really any reason to try to go for anything too fancy on that front, but even then it is kinda boring. So really most of it came down to the content that the work can dish out. Unfortunately, that's pretty weak too. Basic romcom route w/ the 2 tsunderes and weak parodies for a lot of the other short stories on the otaku subculture and the themes it likes.
In all it kinda turns into this lighthearted sol-esque thing w/ a heavy romance overtone for MC and tsunderes. Not a bad idea or anything, at that it probably poses a pretty decent draw to most crowds, but personally I'd really want a work with more traits than that.

Eca just doesn't appreciate true work of art depicting realistic females in a realistic environment. What a hater. Get off your high horse and lower your standards
