i watched the anime first and played the game second, pretty good stuff in general, though i would have liked the anime more if they had taken some of the more badass characters from the game (like maria wulffstein or how the female sniper was called)

in the anime all the characters tend to question war and violence and burden themselves emotionally, while in the game, they are pretty much going for it without doubts xD (especially welkin is a lot more straight forward)
