[00:28] <Ferrose> and then I watched it and loved it [00:28] <spazer> the proper reaction was [00:28] <spazer> "why the fuck are you showing me an amv" [00:28] <spazer> then punching him
Spazer is very disappointed in you, Southlight. How dare you defile the sanctity of the ADT! Kisama!
MY FAVORITE SERIES OF ALL TIME HOLY CRAP ARBLGARBLGARBLBLARBL
sometimes it really pisses me off though lol
Time travel is one of those plot devices that only pisses you off if you think about it.
Time travel is one of the devices that makes it good! I just don't like how+ Show Spoiler +
each time they jump time lines, it seems to go through a whole new process all over again of okabe going "wh--what?! impossible...what....what happened? D: D: D:" and the series attempts to provide comic relief in the form of him somehow getting screwed over by the jump -___-
I'm just starting 11, though, so I'm sure that this won't happen that often.

Which is why I say "if you think about it". As a device, there are way too many loopholes in time traveling. Not even counting the vague nature of the concept, the amount of ways time travel in fiction could be executed is just way too diverse. In the end, it is simply one of those things where you work to put up with the author's telling and usage of the device with nothing interesting in itself.
As for Okabe's confusion, well, time leap is like that in s;g.

Yeah, fair enough. Should have realized that was your point...whoopsies.
Me neither. Apparently AMVs are just action sequences set to crappy music, while MADs take skill to make.
That's what /a/ tells me, anyway.
I thought the only difference was that AMV are done by the West, while MAD are done by japanese.
Mostly, yes. But the vast majority of AMVs are of the "action sequences set to crappy music" variety. Most of the MADs I've seen tend to be higher up on the insanity scale, and have had at least some modicum of effort put into their creation.

I just finished FMAB and greatly enjoyed it! The series also is pretty rewatchable so I'm just rewatching some choice episodes now.
By the way, can anyone explain why the torrents on BakaBT are so damn large? For example this torrent is 13 GB despite only being 26 episodes at 720x480.
