Gundam 00? No. If you liked the original Gundam, watch Zeta Gundam (it's the sequel, and is my favorite one so far; also considered by some to be the "Holy Grail of Gundam"). Unicorn is the most recent one, but you shouldn't watch it unless you have seen the original, Zeta, and Char's Counterattack (and Gundam ZZ if you're a masochist like me : D).
Gundam 00 is the most recent one before that, but there are much better Gundams that take priority over it. Also in the fall a new series, Gundam AGE will be coming out, but it looks laughably bad.

Is it more politically and action-based and less emotional? I feel like in Destiny, everyone fucking cried.
Everyone cries in Destiny because Destiny is a horrible show starring Shinn Asuka Jesus Yamato.
Unicorn is a six episode OVA series, with one episode being released every six months. The release cycle is painful as hell, but the production quality of the series speaks for itself.

How does someone not like G Gundam....
Anyway, Gundam 00 is the most recent completed one. I'd say Gundam 00 is the same "type" as Gundam Wing, and then the second Season kinda fails in my opinion.
Unicorn is extremely good. In my opinion, Unicorn is the best looking anime ever made, and it isn't over yet. IDK what you mean by "lolwtf Unicorn". It isn't like Destiny, which is regarded almost universally as the worst Gundam show, or one of the worst Gundam shows.
Also, disregard what Ferrose said about "watch all these Gundam shows before Unicorn". There are TONS of people who have watched Unicorn before ANY UC Gundam show before, and enjoyed it. And if you have watched the original Gundam, then you should be familiar enough with the setting, just keep in mind its 20 years after the original.
If you liked the originally, definitely watch Zeta Gundam, which is considered to be the best Gundam show to man people.
Call me an idiot (and you will hehe ^^), but I've never particularly enjoyed mecha animes, heh. I'm not saying that they're bad at all--in fact, I see why people like them and they're definitely quite awesome, but I just don't have that big of an interest in them unless they contain several other major components that make me interested. A few do, but for the most part, I'm sort of disinterested in mecha animes, Gundam included. The prohibitively large list of them has always been somewhat scary.

It's still cool stuff though :3
Its fine if you don't like them, I won't call you an idiot for having different tastes. I'd only call you an idiot if you were like Blobskillz, and just blindly consider Gundam and Mecha to all be terrible and stupid.

I'd only consider you terrible and stupid but feel free to look through my posts I bet you wont find one where I say that I think mecha is terrible and stupid. I am pretty sure that I said that I dont like the idea of big human looking robots but that's about it

Wait~~ Before you leave, can you sort of explain how the format works or link me to something that explains it? I'm looking at the brackets and it looks terrible (i.e. I can't figure it out very well and am too lazy ><), and I'm also looking at the rounds, but have no idea as to how the rounds are decided...
Basically I can't figure out who is playing whom--and when--at all...

I think the main issue (like alot of other things) in appreciating gundam is just the sheer volume of gundam youd have to go through..
I like most mech stuff Ive watched but simply not having the time (and I dont like half assing stuff if I watch it has to be hardcore) I simply never got around to it. and I know alot of people have gone through a similar sort of .. I mean for me Saber Rider (bismarck) and Robotech was all there was to anime as a kid growing up in subcontinental asia :p.. we only got decent internet capable of mass torrenting like 2004/5..
so yea the sheer volume thing is problematic the only time I felt I wasted my time watching mech was probably macross 7

first you have an open bracket with a winners and losers bracket, the top 4 from this bracket advance to the pool play.
Pool play consists of 4 groups of 6 players in these groups they play against each other until everyone played everyone in his group. The final rankings in their groups determine where they will be seeded in the Final Tournamentbracket.
This is again a Winners/Loser bracket tournament until the grand finals. Your ranking in pool play determine in which round of the winners or losers bracket you will start.
based on your over all placement in the whole MLG tournament you will be awarded points. The 16 players with the most points will be able to skip the open bracket and go directly to the pool play.

Yeah but they won't fully enjoy it. A lot of stuff in Unicorn went over my head when I first watched it (and a lot still does).
