lol, I didn't even read your reply, what does Gundam Syndrome have to do with LoGH? I heard what you said it was on IRC, and I'm puzzled as to how that is relevant to LoGH. Well, Code Geass makes sense as an attempt to parody everything anime at the same time so it's impossible to take seriously. The battlefield tactics of LoGH isn't any problem, they are usually reasonable. + Show Spoiler +The problem is that when one side gets a significant advantage, either the other side starts pulling off some crazy stuff or the first side does uncharacteristically idiotic stuff.
Capturing a mini death star with a small group of sword armed soldiers makes sense, Yang is a genius. Then let the previously excellent commanders of the Empire throw away a couple of fleets and another mini death star trying to take it back. It's also a good thing Yang passed on those brilliant tactics to his pupil so that he could capture that Imperial destroyer that got in the way.
If nothing else works when the empire is about to win a decisive battle, why not just invent some new physics to stop them. Code Geass wasn't meant to parody anything, its just a show that turned out hilarious because of how hard it tried and failed. LoGH: + Show Spoiler +Sounds like you are talking about Season 1 stuff (other than the shit that I have no idea what you are talking about), with the Empire throwing away fleets and stuff stupidly. In Season 1, everyone not associated with Yang or Reinhard was retarded. And then they all die by the end of Season 1, because Yang and Reinhard are that good. Then you get 3 Seasons of pure awesome. Code Geass wasnt that bad....it sure had it flaws but overall the mech action was pretty good atleast. I think it should of started with a darker theme similar to Death Note. The overall setting was just to colorful for it to be drawn into a more series dark theme. What ticked me off was Lelouche playing chess with his brother and he didnt take the win....I would never understand that scenario. Their are a lot of key flaws in the anime but it can be overlooked I suppose. Like some people said, if you shut off your brain and completely removed the word "why" from existences, then it the best anime in decades. he didn't take the win because Code Geass is actually BL in disguise and because Lelouch is a uke character. Never thought of Code Geass as a BL, but now it make sense......felt pretty bad for Kallen fighting in that tight battle latex suit sweating all day in that tight cramp hole within the Gurren. Good thing she never found out....or maybe that kiss at the end was a test? :O What anime is that from?

Seitokai no Ichizon is definitely awesome. And season 2 should be coming relatively soon!
+ Show Spoiler [Sekien no Inganock Chapter 3] +Damn that was awesome. Dorothy's story was pretty depressing, and Smith's sacrifice for her was even more depressing yet happy and awesome at the same time T_T Also Porshion is just epic as hell.
My only complaint so far is that every chapter, you have to sit through the same dialogue with the Grand Prince and the guy with the watch.

Ya, im stoping after this episode lol. It getting pretty boring. Reason I asked is because I was so close to stop watching Puella Magic Madoka Magica and if I had choose to stop watching it, I would of probably committed Seppuku in 10 years when I probably would of watch it again.

In fact, that was pretty much the only thing that got me through S1, and the promise of action was the only thing that made me grind S2.
Shana S1 is ok, while S2 is a pile of shit other than like the last 5 episodes (out of 25 lol). So I say if you aren't enjoying S1, its only going to get worse for you.

Well the action isnt particularly bad but it so unclear what their power are. Like how the first master with the doll was insanely powerful when fighting that blond flame haze BUT when fought shana, he was so weak....Also, the anime doesnt really explain their power really well and most of the time it just seem like they are just blasting each other with undefined magical blast kind of like kame-ha-me-ha blast. So it just feels like mindless action. Atleast that how I feel, and the Mistes kid is so annoying and useless and always in the way. It like they are intentionally doing this to mock the females in naruto.

Hmmm the stuff you listed in the spoiler does look interesting. I kind of figured that he would eventually learned which is also why I kind of had hope for this anime. Some of stuff that bug me is stuff like on episode 13 around 10-14min into the anime, Shana is tangled by those 2 sibling plant monster and suddenly Shana just realized that she can burn turn the plant with some unexplained fire manipulation and she also suddenly TELEPORTED the boy sword to her.
So that mean she can manipulate fire and teleport objects from foreign location by turning the material into a stream of fire and materializes it in her hand?? Heck while she is at it, why didnt she just summon a meteor to come smash the 2 sibling. By not explaining Shana power throughly, they can just dump or make up crap like this at last second. Since I am almost half way with this anime, might as well finish it so I will not have any regrets and see if I have the will to continue Season 2.

Also, it never really gives good explanation of their powers. I don't really pay it much attention.

Keep in mind that Season 2 is incredibly frustrating, its its literally "forget all the Flame Haze shit, we are going to focus on the shitty high school 'romance' part for 20 fucking episodes". Also, it never really gives good explanation of their powers. I don't really pay it much attention.
Oh jizz...., well I usually watch 5 episode and grade it personally and then decide if I should move on. Ill do that on season 2 and well and see how it goes. Doubt it will though from your explaination though lol. Thx alot, you were very helpful :D

probably not, because the first 5 episodes, not 20, is what he was referring to as the high school stuff. It picks up after around 10 ish, and just gets better and better. Not a great anime, it's more of a mindless entertainment type.

+ Show Spoiler [Sekien no Inganock Chapter 4] +That one didn't feel quite as dramatic as the last. But I found it pretty cool how one of the creatures had existed in the "information space" and that it had learned human language and even tried to kill Gii by making him "give up." I'm really liking the episodic nature and how it kinda feels like each chapter is just Gii and Kia going around, curing illnesses and learning about the city itself and all these different patients. And the ominous thing with the Grand Prince and the black sludge thing is gonna be epic when it finally comes around. Also poor Ruaha. She is so moe
