first episode looked interesting and the art is done by gainax so the quality is fine. seems very nice, though my fetish for pale women might blind me a bit good animation even in the action scenes, i like the male lead, but for dantalian (the girl) it needs to be said, she is index 2.0 : hotter, but same voice, always hungry and well she is + Show Spoiler +a library of forbidden grimoires wohoo xD hopefully she does not start biting now that you say it ye she is pretty much a mix of Index and Victorica right, the attitude is straight from gosick <.<, but we shall see wether she keeps it up and while i am here, one question about logh: i have watched the 110 episodes, i am_not_interested in the childhood/teenage years of the characters, is there anything i should check out from the movies / additional ovas? most if not all are prequels i heard... They are all prequels, but they don't really deal with the characters' childhood. It's more focused on the events that transpired during Reinhard's and Kircheis' early years in the military. The quality of the OVAs varies somewhat between arcs, but I'd recommend watching all of them anyways. There's some really good stuff in there. As for the movies, My Conquest is the Sea of Stars is about Reinhard's first encounter with Yang. Worth watching. Overture to a New War is a retelling of the Battle of Astarte. Although its stuff you've already seen in the series, there are a few extra scenes and it fleshes out the characters nicely, so arguably its worth it if you have time. Golden Wings is just bad.
thanks alot! then i will search for everything except golden wings.

I notice you're watching ippo.
Keep watching ippo.
Finish that then come back.
I also notice you have Evangelion on your to-watch list. Evangelion is terrible, don't bother. If you must, just watch the movies. Or even better, just read the wikipedia article.

the evangelion movies were pretty good actually. If you ignore Shinji
looks like Minami-ke will get a new season

Nonetheless the series is still a weaker Kino no Tabi.

oh man, just when i decided to quit d gray man at the end of season 1, season 2 started looking interesting again.. im probably going to waste another 50+ episodes worth of time on watching screaming of names, obnoxious breathing and im definitely going to save you and everything again oh well in other exciting news, nodame cantabile was really good, though i feel like i could have enjoyed it more had i known more about classical music. i also felt like i missed the feeling in a lot of parts, its probably an anime thats worth digesting over a longer period of time and not watch it in 2 sittings like i did summer, oh summer next is twgok 2

Yeah, pretty much what Spazer said. The 2 Movies (Conquest and Overture) are both about Reinhard and Yang's earliest battles. The Gaiden 1 is about Reinhard/Kircheis' early career in the military, while Gaiden 2 focuses more on Yang. Golden Wings is pretty much an abomination.

Well it does make some sense. Saber is not exactly a person. She does not die when she is killed. She gets revived Halo style. inb4 /facepalm

Multiple times. He survived being coated in fuel and lit on fire. He survived getting shot through the heart with a pistol. He survived a Colony Drop from inside the colony.

How good is LoGH? I watched the first 3 episodes maybe and then dropped it to watch Madoka, Steins Gate, and Tsubasa. I'm really debating whether I should give up on No.6. The second episode was...ok. Oh, and how good is Usagi Drop?

I found myself really liking FLCL along with Welcome to the NHK. The two aren't really similar story wise, but for some reason, the two seem to fit together quite well. And since FLCL is just 6 OVAs it should be relatively to go through.
Along with Eureka Seven, I also really liked Bounen no Xamd. That shit was pretty cool.
And I always throw out Katanagatari in my recommendations. I really loved that Anime.

Have you ever read the synopsis of some of your favorite anime?
+ Show Spoiler [Porco rosso] +Take flight with ''Porco'' Rosso, a valiant World War I flying ace! From tropical Adriatic settings to dazzling aerial maneuvers, this action-adventure from world-renowned animator Hayao Miyazaki is full of humor, courage and chivalry. When ''Porco'' -- whose face has been transformed into that of a pig by a mysterious spell -- infuriates a band of sky pirates with his aerial heroics, the pirates hire Curtis, a rival pilot, to ''get rid'' of him. On the ground, the two pilots compete for the affections of the beautiful Gina. But it is in the air where the true battles are waged. Will our hero be victorious?
+ Show Spoiler [Fumoffu] +It's back-to-school mayhem with Kaname Chidori and her war-freak classmate Sousuke Sagara as they encounter more misadventures in and out of Jindai High School. But when Kaname gets into some serious trouble, Sousuke takes the guise of Bonta-kun - the gun-wielding, butt-kicking mascot. And while he struggles to continue living as a normal teenager, Sousuke also has to deal with protecting his superior officer Teletha Testarossa, who has decided to take a vacation from Mithril and spend a couple of weeks as his and Kaname's classmate.
Via MAL.
Don't judge by any synopsis.
Hmmmn, it's kinda hard to tell what you like. You have a very varied taste. Maybe you'll like Katanagatari. It's very wordy with decent action scenes. Otherwise, maybe the Break Blade movies. There're 6 movies and the last one is coming out on bluray at the end of this month. It's a war mecha.
On a side note, I can't really recommend Ano Hana. Opinions about it are pretty split as far as I can see.

Well, I "postponed" it. LoGH is really long though. I don't want to spend that much time just to watch an anime, unless it changes my life....
