And the whole plot twist with Akatsuki being the chainman of Nergal and the crew all leaving to live their own lives arc lasted for like one ep, not even, really. : / I think most of my complaints with Nadesico can be summed up by "they tried to cram 50 eps worth of content into 26 eps"  Also at least FMP knows when it's trying to be serious and when it's trying to be funny. | ||

It was simply the perfect blend of action and drama, with enough things to make you question Hei's (and everyone elses) motives the entire way through. It's also somewhat myster, because you have to guess why certain things happen/ed (i.e. Hei not actually being a contractor, why did amber look like a child, who was actually in the syndicate, goals of the syndicate, etc. ) I feel like I was too stupid to think about everything and feel like I've missed a lot, which is a really good thing to say about an anime. Especially one that has such strong fights/suspense/action. Seriously, the way Hei fought was so awesome, relying on speed and decisive, smart actions, especially against the blood guy, some of the best fights I've seen(behind maybe samurai champloo) All in all, I really enjoyed it. It was really good action (though not shonen), it was pretty good drama, it made you think and question, and the ending was satisfying. Still deciding if I'm going to watch the second season, as someone said it was pretty bad. Thoughts? And right afterwards + Show Spoiler [The World God Only Knows] + Oh yeah, I've been looking forward to seeing how this idea actually worked out. Normally, I don't like these comedy/parody shows, but somehow, this one was different. Maybe because I realy enjoyed the idea(otaku who is really good at capturing 2d girls suddenly has to go real and apply his logical, rational thinking and experience and compare it with his games), every ''case'' felt really enjoyable. I find it a bit difficult to explain, but I loved the way he used his gaming experience and tried to do it with real girls. Also, the ''joking'' girl is actually pretty cute and funny, which definitely plays a good part in the show's enjoyment factor. Next on, the girls were exactly the way I imagined them to be. Loli, shy librarian, somewhat tsundere and an idol, all of them felt very well executed. It also helped that I finally understood some of the moe jokes that shows like lucky star keep throwing at you, but in this show, they actually had a meaning in the show itself, which made it easier to understand I guess. I'm tired so i apologize for my chaotic/bad writing but I really liked these 2 shows and wanted to write/discuss them! | ||

Maybe you didn't read the entire post. "Fun and enjoyable show". But on the same level as Gundam 00 S2 and IS, both of which were absolute shit. Worse than LoGH Golden Wings and Death Note, which were also shit. Do you not have any consistency at all in your ranks? Seriously, the same level as Infinite Shit and worse than Golden Wings? 2.) You wouldn't even know that it was originally meant for 50 episodes if Ecael hadn't told you. Plus, you don't even know what it being meant for 50 episodes implied. They didn't condense all the content from 50 episodes to 26. They simply omitted all the stuff that happens between episode 26 and the movie. And there was alot of shit. It didn't feel rushed at all, you just think it did because Ecael said something. 3.) The show was episodic in nature, so them traveling around in the Nadesico to different locations isn't a sign of it being rushed, its a sign of it being episodic. 4.) Maybe it lasted for one episode because they weren't gone for that a long? 5.) The show is was MEANT to be a mix serious and non-serious. The entire fucking crew had some huge personality defect, and were all either stupid, crazy, or an otaku. That was one of the show's main driving points. FMP did it better, sure, but you aren't saying "FMP did this better", you are saying "Sucks because it wasn't serious the entire time". Your complaints about Nadesico are almost worse than your "complaints" about Gunbuster after you got done watching that. | ||

The asspull ending is so stupid words cannot describe it. A redeeming feature is the kickass soundtrack. + Show Spoiler [spoilers from the first episode of DtB…] + Also, the fact that they kill off the best villain in the first episode. The OVAs are pretty awesome though, and definitely worth watching. They take place between the two seasons, but were made after the 2nd. | ||
