The skits with the the science teacher Nakamura and the Takasaki were petty good. Looking forward to more. The daifuku skit was just weird, unless there's some pun or reference I don't get. The skits with Nano and the Professor about her screw also seemed drawn out. Needs more Tachibana skits. Still fun overall. New ED though; was the K-On insert just a place holder? I wonder. Also, nothing wrong with Yaoi imo. Males can enjoy yuri, females can enjoy yaoi. I thought stuff like Gravitation was popular?

I kept laughing at most of it + Show Spoiler [Hanasaku Iroha 15] + Wow Ohana for some reason, sometimes makes me just shake my head and facepalm. Though I guess it worked out in the end. Yuina comes off as kind of annoying for me, sometimes. AND it was cute that she got all jealous that the guy brought up Ohana. But it looks like he still likes Yuina. (Or else that would be one fucking complex love polygon). + Show Spoiler [R-15 1] + Wow, a lot better then i expected. Looks like it has potential, and is pretty interesting and funny at the same time.

Possible spoiler below: + Show Spoiler + Maybe there's something wrong with me, and I know I'm going to get yelled at by some of you, but am I the only one that dislike it? I generally have a rule where I will finish the anime if I start watching it, Stein's gate has a good potential but I hate the artwork (all the girls are so terribly ugly imo), and aside from kyouma and daru, all the other character has such stupid personality (kurisu is arguable, she has cool personality and stuff but still ugly nonetheless). Not saying it terrible, I mean I love the way they twist science into it and their explanation of the in-anime-scientific-phenomenon is really clever and delightful, with the world line and the memory transfer and all that. I'm not exactly what I don't like about the anime itself other than the characters, but I find myself not really captivated by it, and didn't really have the drive to bust through all the episodes (still did but it wasn't like I CANT STOP WATCHING OMG). So um...thoughts?

Though it seems for you its only an artwork problem, which i guess shouldn't be much of a problem? Example: For me at the beginning, I did not like Cross game's art. But after a while i got used to it, looked past the art, and it had a pretty good story behind it. Madoka, art was a little wierd, but i got over it, and it had a damn good story Solution(?) Just keep an open mind, and look past the art, i guess, idk. :/

I'm not that shallow, and with an excellent story, I can get over the art and I have before. I thought maybe more of a combination of the art and the character development. When mayushii got shot like a bunch of times in the recent episodes, i couldn't help but to not feel a bit sorry, because I disliked the character. When I sit down and try to rationalize why I don't like it, it's either that or something I can think of in the story, like how this guy that somehow gets a magic microwave and the cellphone thing miraculously work, and oh, good thing, the tv downstairs is randomly a lifter or whatever it is, the random piece of electronic nearby has been the source of all our success. Then, the he's in possession of a powerful device, and he haphazardly lends it use to random characters on a whim, like let the nyan nyan girl or shining finger send random texts to the past and him having no clue what they sent, and then goes OH SHIT this stuff isnt inconsequential o.o Unno, I can imagine some other serious anime I've watched e.g. Code Geass or Deathnote maybe?, where every action is backed up with a very solid foundation of evidence so cleverly that you can't identify a single trace of loophole. So far to me Stein's Gate feels like a haphazard melting pot of useless annoying characters (shining finger texting pisses me off, dont like the guy/girl jinja person, mayushii, seriously all shes done so far is say immature things or whine about some random stuff thats irrelavent (fried chicken blah blah, metal kirby or whatever she collects, cosplay, none of which adds anything to the anime), incredulous miracles (everything turns into a time machine and its component), questionable decisions, etc). My friend says the latest episode (14) probably places the anime into his top 5, for me it's finally a more legitimate reason to keep watching, hoping that it will become better and I can change my mind, because I don't enjoy the idea that everyone finds this anime so amazing and I somehow just can't grasp what they are captivated by.. /rant? EDIT: Not to sound completely negative about it, there are good parts that I enjoy too, the hentai name calling and a bunch of other things that happened that made me actually laugh out loud, which is pretty rare in anime, and those instances are quite good, as well as mentioned before, the idea of the story is pretty golden, I love the idea of time travel and even more the way they explain it so simply, cleverly, and logically. I don't know myself what I find so disconcerting about Stein's Gate that makes me go =\

I don't know myself what I find so disconcerting about Stein's Gate that makes me go =\ I think its the "wide spectrum" steins gate trys to cover, each of the characters favor to a certain persons liking (because it started off as a novel game if I remember correctly?) so while the consequences of the time machine aren't so much the bright side and how exactly the time machine works to begin with isn't explained with it eventually just becomes a glorified deus ex machina plot device that keeps the show running. I do have to say I only liked the shop girl and kurisu, also the shrine girl/boy was pretty hilarious back when she was still a he, but if you don't have a least a little bit of care for each of the charaters its going to be hard to get into. Like when shining finger started chanting "for FB FB" during that 'climactic' moment I don't know why but that just got me so hype. Also lol about solid foundation of evidence with code geass, someone didn't watch season 2 methinks. (same for death note too actually haha 2nd season it just went downhill)

finally things are starting to happen again. the Shiori arc I felt was really drawn out, although I still love her character. Keima getting sick was too predictable but I wonder how New Hell will react to Haqua's report. I'm thinking either they'll laugh at her or the chief is actually part of vintage. CrimsnDragn, I really hope you didn't see Code Geass season 2 or you erased it from your mind completely because I still stand by my claim that the 2nd season was actually a comedy. Other than that, I think Monokeros answered your complaints pretty well. The creation of the time machine is without a doubt a pretty ridiculous dues ex machina, but it's what the entire show is based on, so I've just let that go. It's way better than ending the show that way (problem solved cause I actually have a time machine!). Also, regarding Mayuri, + Show Spoiler + In my eyes, I always viewed her as the persona of innocence. She didn't understand what was going on and was just there to keep the place happy and lively. Her death triggered a drastic change in the direction of the anime, although we all knew it was going to happen sooner or later (SERN coming, not her dying). Nothing wrong with not liking her, just means you aren't into the innocent, happy-all-the-time type characters, probably. Same goes with other characters you dislike. I think if you can bring yourself to respect that the characters you don't like are at least done well for how they are supposed to be depicted (no need to actually like them) then maybe you can enjoy the show more. Besides, we haven't really gotten much character development for Moeka and Suzuha yet, so maybe they'll still surprise you in a good way. and Ruka's entire purpose is to be a trap (at least so far), and yeah I could easily do without her, but I was at least amused the first few episodes trying to determine whether she was actually a trap or I was just being messed with. Also, Steins Gate actually rarely left me feeling like I had to see the next episode ASAP. Usually I only get that in Shounen. However, most episodes did leave me feeling very satisfied at how good of an episode/development/ending/cliffhanger it was.

I should elaborate on this. S;G in particular isn't designed as a galge, but as a straight up VN. As a result, only the true route really got focused on, with the side character routes serving a point but being ultimately not all that important. So yeah...the whole trying to cover a wide spectrum thing doesn't really exist. Like Uta argued a while back, the plot started all the way back at ep1. Just that no one noticed yet.
