Almost missed this, but Tiger and Bunny is actually very popular. It isn't running as long as it is based only on advertisements, since people actually like it.

Seriously guys Tiger and Bunny is a legit show. I don't see how it's any different from Western TV or even sports (like how a lot of soccer teams have their team's sponsor on their jersey). Ever notice all the product placement in TV and movies? It's definitely not as obnoxious as in Tiger and Bunny, but I don't find the ads annoying, and plus they actually make the ads into legit plot points and seamlessly work them into the show, which is awesome.
Plus I'm usually drinking Pepsi anyway, so it's cool with me ^_^
I would go even further with tiger & bunny to say that, while it's obviously not the focal point of the show, the time spent on the ads and the HeroTV side of Tiger&Bunny is actually satire of their influence on all shapes of media. You can substitute the super heroes for any of the things you mentioned or basically any athlete/celebrity and draw parallels between the ones who sell out and are only participating for money, and vice versa between players who start charities/are great guys on and off the field and heroes like Tiger who stick to principles like priortizing the lives of the citizens over points, $, etc. Sunrise isn't trying to play innocent with this social critique and obv purposely utilizes advertisement placement/NASCAR branding on the characters to say "Hey, the anime industry succombs to it and we know it." Still though, they really have something with this show, on the HeroTV side of things, to let us really ponder in today's culture if this would be the fate of superheroes should they ever exist.
And the overall animation and art is great too, great characters, a good story, I don't think Tiger & Bunny had to rely on the ads at all to pump out the full 26 episodes. If it's as popular as you guys say it is, hopefully it will have a good reception when BDs come out :u.
Also just saw Sacred Seven - This show borrows from so many other shows lol. It seems like they mashed them all up and threw in some maids for good measure. Well should be entertaining and is a worth a watch for now at least in a season and thin as this I guess
Tiger and Bunny is awesome anime ! Too bad its not that popular in the western world as in Japan. Probably ppl are turned off by the stupid name haha. I had the same problem almost missed it because of the name . But its actually selling really good in Blu-ray it was in 1st place in Japan till like few days ago with 27 k copies sold but got topped by Ano Hana which is another awesome anime.
Who is excited for the Berserk Movie thats coming in Jan 2012 ? They are gonna do a total remake of the series and the full project gonna last over a decade. I hope we get 1 movie per year ! Gonna be awesome just hope that faggot Miura will stop slacking off and finish this series in 10 years. With this tempo hes going he cant finish Berserk in his life time.

A REALLY good one I know of is Little Busters! Loved that one, but I'm going to forewarn a bit of adult content included in that one. Another VN I played that was good was this H-game (hentai) "Our love on day of summer" if your into H-games I recommend it. I doubt has a english translation, but who knows? I heard there was supposed to be one. EDIT: Clarification and sentance format EDIT2: Little Buster xlation not out (I still recommend you learn japanese and play it :p)

Don't recommend terrible games. Little Busters is good but it's infuriating for someone just starting to play VNs. Especially Rin1.
ZNF, play Ef, Tsukihime and Sekien no Inganock. Those are probably the most fun to read out of currently translated VNs, plus they're all extremely different.
Kara no Shoujo and Saya no Uta are really good, but for people who can't stomach that kind of stuff I wouldn't recommend trying it.
If you want to get through some japanese only VNs, Eden and Eustia are the only ones I've read, and they're good, I'm currently working on rewrite but it's going slowww -_-
Finally got around to watching this. So good. Love the new OP; the animation is synched really well with the music and there's so much attention to detail such as the stained glass windows in the classroom and the fire alarm. There was a lot of foreshadowing in the first OP so I'm wondering what little things they've sneaked into this one. Also like that the sketches are longer which feels better than some of the random 5 sec stuff they've done before.
New ED is also good. Preferred the K-On version though, partially because it's one of the few times Mugi gets to sing in something not on her Charater CD. On that note actually, I found out Mugi's VA worked on A Channel so I've started that. It seems like a K-On wannabe with Yuuko (the one Mugi's VA does) in a Akiyama Mio role. It's decent I guess.
Hanasaku Iroha was interesting. I guess next episode is the big character development one for Yuina where she learns to work? The new OP and ED are nice although they have some inconsistencies such as Nakochii's stockings being different colours.

Good, means more focus on Starcraft and finishing reading rewrite. So this way i can just read Uta's synopsis and be like "oh ok that's what happened." For the amount of VNs I read raw, My japanese is still garbage as hell
