And to think that it has lead me to follow anime regularly, with some dips and tops in enthusiasm, for about 10 years now. Anyone else have any special memories of "discovering" anime? I always liked anime, but I never got real serious about watching it before I found this place. Before I came to ADT, I was the stereotypical noob who had only seen like Code Geass/Death Note/TTGL/etc., though I had seen a few other series that I really liked. | ||

No, definitely not. Puella Magi Oriko Magika is an awesome manga and actually has a meaningful plot and nice characters. You should read the manga regardless. To love ru ~ darkness is only popular because it's like yuri, ecchi, and h. -.- | ||

Not at all. It was a fun anime, but I think the best part about it was the music. It doesn't really conclude since the manga was ongoing at that point. If you want the main plot elements from the manga, you have to watch the OVAs, I think there were like 2-3. However they're standalone and you won't understand it without the manga. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + Well, that was an interesting point of view. I couldn't help but feel disgusted at how they killed people who were just bitten. Ignorance is such an important theme in this show... Also, I felt really really bad for those poor vampires, again, who wants nothing to do but survive... but I guess it's them or us. Also yeah the music is pretty amazing for the anime, also + Show Spoiler + the kinda dark references/foreshadowing that are never able to come to fruition in the original showing. left me kinda disappointed before seeing the OVAs and reading the manga | ||
