On Daiteikoku: Manstein's skill, Tetsu no Shiro, reduces Tekkou damage dealt to him by 30%. I took him down with carrier fleets and don't remember having much trouble.
Tanaka Raizou benefits from events more than any other Admiral. He can ultimately gain an additional 210 CP and +40% HP corrections to his 2 poor HP slots. You need Snow, Retia, Koo, Mirya, Koai, and 3 Oppai Jinja to get them all, though you don't need to get them all to give him enough CP to command 4 subs. I don't have Carriers, the best ships I get are Proto-type Battlecruiser Yamato, I know the Green Haired tech girl does well with Carriers(gave her my second Yamato)[Yamato takes so much command points, I think I amma give the second Yamato to Tougo later] but I don't have the schematics for 1 PS the dude is that desperate for a girl? I don't know if there is a special condition for being able to make carriers, but the first one is Tier 3, and the regular ship research Tiers are unlocked depending on how many systems you've conquered, and only after researching everything in the current available tier. When I fought Manstein there was a second battlefield in his invasion with a shitload of victory stars so you can just rout that one to hold the line. He will return, so go conquer more systems until you have the technology to rout his battlefield. Tier 3 is a huge step up, as it not only has your first carriers, it will have your first Barrier and Anti-Air ships. 2 Tier 3 battleships are also better in every way than a Yamato. True but a Yamato is pretty much better than any tier 2 you can get >.<' just no 1 has the command points to use them except Retia and Tougo

I guess from an excitement point of view, Aria does give me that aspect more than most other animes, so there's a plus for that.
But has anyone seen Nichijou 6 yet? So many laughs to go around. ^^

But I've never had problems against him, either carriers or barrier ships tend to do well against him. I don't think you have enough money for a decent carrier fleet, though, because you spent way too much time pissing around learning the game and as a result you've almost got yourself into a near hopeless situation that can only be resolved by you restarting the game. You're going to have more fun going against Zhukov and Co, though, huehue And, well, if you don't have enough for barrier ships, you'll have to wait for more resources. what turn are you on?

By first EP do you mean episode 0?
If that's the case, then I highly recommend you go back and try.
And if you dropped it after episode 1, I guarantee that things get a lot more interesting. I don't remember what specifically happens in episode 2, but I know that episode 3 was what really spurred me to keep watching.
To be honest, I can see why it's not everyone's cup of tea. I'm one of those guys that just watches until the very end and never drops anything.
I'm not one of those types that says "if you don't like it by the [insert number] episode, then drop it", especially with something like Nichijou which comes out with something new and funny (to me) every episode.
In this case, if you can't get going by maybe episode 3 or 4....5....you know what I mean, drop it. Give it a couple more episodes to see if the type of humor works on you.

That's how I was before with never dropping a show no matter how awful I thought it was, but now with my time much more limited I've become a bit more picky.

Anyone that gave up on Nichijou by episode five or earlier will get back into the series through episode six alone.
This must have been a good week for anime in general; personally I loved HanaSaku's most recent episode and I think I'm definitely going to enjoy next week's episode as a whole.
...I just hope P.A. has (finally) learned how to write (decent) conclusions. =/
