Eustia is well, I guess her naivety is a part of her appeal? I haven't read the whole thing so far. The Trial version didn't really explore the Holy Maiden and her attendant of which both their names escape me, Fione, I am in to knight characters so I am slightly biased but she really reminds me of Benawi from Utawarerumono. Melt is nice too bad she is just a supporting character, I really like Caim and Sieg though, it's rare for me to like the male cast in a VN but they're pretty awesome. =D so far I really liked the VN.... PS Torrent is so slow on the Full Version Irene is like a more extreme version of Estelle from Yoake, but different focuses there. Eris is hilarious though, I don't think anyone would not enjoy her route, except possibly to bitch about it not being longer enough. Fione is no Benawi, though you can say she is one in making. Near the last 1/3 of the game you'll meet someone who is practically Benawi though Melt is awesome, Melt route please.

That artist's style never change that much, a lot of Eustia's expressions are like taken directly from Kanade in FA.
No Melt route because the idea of figuring out which one of Caim and Zieg had sex with her first is scary, then we throw in how Zieg's dad first slept with her, then paid for her debts and wedded her.
btw even then I'd like a Melt route.

earlier i asked about animes to watch, and i took your advice and watched TTGL, and then i just watched all of Soul Eater, and i LOVED THEM!, especially soul eater!, i was wondering if there are any other light hearted badass animes out there. I especially loved the academy aspect of soul eater. thanks in advance!

Judging by the art for the next ep preview, 2-5 will be introducing Haqua's buddy, as expected. This should be good lolol

I saw few pages back you guys talking about TWOGK. I don't know why "Divine One" translation is even a complaint? That is not something that is going to stop me from reading it from a certain subber. Also, didn't much care for this weeks since it was a little too much action. (Yeah, action in this show, what?) Still, enjoyable enough. Probably still one of the ones I care about week to week.

Spazer said it much more eloquently than I could:

I'm waiting for Chihiro's release. I can't get over the fact that Crunchy translates "Kami-nii-sama" as "Divine One" or "Divine Brother." Who the fuck refers to their brother as "Divine One?" And we can't talk about the manga since there's no new chapter this week @ Blobskillz: Probably like 4-5 weeks until Jun still Kami is "God", and "nii-sama" is a brother you strongly respect, so whats wrong with that translation? I don't know what you should write it as in the subs. But all I know is, "Divine Brother" sounds utterly retarded. Keima is God. Not a monk. They mean the exact same thing, but because one sounds like "moon moon moon", its acceptable?? Kami nii-sama does not carry any connotation in English, and is, for all intents and purposes, a name. God and brother both carry connotation because both words are well known English words. Thus, the former does not sound awkward, and the latter does. Speaking from a technical standpoint though, kami nii-sama is not a translation at all.

It's a Haqua episode. Who cares about the content
|
Well, let's say it like this then. We are English so we shouldn't care I've seen subs where they would just say Kami nii-sama and that's fine with me and some where it says "God" and some with "Divine One". I have no issues with reading it any one of those ways, but maybe it's just because I'm not picky.
Also, don't get me wrong I love me some Haqua, but I'd rather see some capturing of the girls than some big nasty blob.

While it's true that Haqua's arc didn't involve a conquest, they technically still captured a runaway spirit ;P
Also, been reading the MAL thread for the episode. People saying things like "finally some plot in this series."
LOL

LOL
But isn't like 90% of the joke from them poking fun at stereotypes in anime?
Personally that's when i think the show is actually funny and last episode i felt like it was taking itself a bit too seriously and i didn't find it very good. When it's trying to be it's own show it fails horribly imo. It shouldn't try to be it's own show it's should do what it's basically designed to, poke fun of anime stereotypes.
The weak plot to kick it all off only makes it that much better of a parody of the many shows that try to pass such a story off straight faced with even weaker setups. If it tries to be it's own show it kind of becomes what it set out to parody.
Anyway i didn't feel much for this last ep and the one before that. Whenever it tries to just be comedy i don't find it very funny. When it's poking fun of anime in general it generally evokes a laugh or two.

Yeah, the series is basically making fun of anime/VN/dating sims. Like how every ep/chapter is called a flag, and Keima's speech mannerisms (conquests, heroines, routes, etc.). Also how he captures each girl using the knowledge he got from playing dating sims. It's pretty lulzy.
For everything else, I will spoiler it:
+ Show Spoiler [TWGOK manga] +The point of Haqua's arc was to show another demon from the Runaway Spirit Squad, explain more about the runaway spirits (the stuff about old Hell and new Hell, etc.), and to develop Elsea, since she always felt like she was useless.
Also TWGOK manga eventually does have a real plot, and it's a pretty good one so far, I have to admit.
You have a point that the end of the Haqua arc was "too serious" and that it wasn't as good as the rest of the series so far, but as I said, "it's a Haqua episode. Who cares about the content "

TWGOK does many things with its stereotypes. Not just parodying, but also subverting and embracing them. The author explains those things in the omake and they're a pretty fun read. I don't think poking fun at the stereotypes has ever been its sole reason for existence. It sets out to evolve these stereotypes into something that feels the same but is slightly different.

I strongly agree with that last sentence. Even though it's parodying quite a bit it doesn't feel like like through and through. It still has it's own feel with the characters and each "arc".

Yeah. Most of the girls represent some archetype (like Mio is a rich tsundere, Shiori is the shy library girl, etc.), but as their arc progresses there's more than what you see on the surface, and each girl actually ends up being pretty unique and (most of them) become loveable.

+ Show Spoiler [Steins;Gate 5] +So Rintarou plans to turn the Phone Microwave (name subject to change) into a time machine in the present (obviously before SERN in 2036 or whatever). But how will he change the ruling structure of the world? Will he keep it as is? Make himself the ruler? Will SERN stop him? I just hope he doesn't turn into a douchebag like Lelouch.
Also Suzuha seems to know some stuff that we don't. But I think it's safe to say now, that SERN's plot isn't just Rintarou's insanity anymore. They actually transported people back in time. But it seems those 14 all died in the process. "Mismatches," they were called. Maybe John Titor was a match? I also think that the Alpacaman will play some major role later on in the story. It's too creepy to just be there for the lulz.
Now I'm sad when this show ends every week. The pacing is great and I want to know what happens next @_@

I love this guy more and more with each passing second. I want to walk around in a t-shirt, khaki pants, and a labcoat while drinking Dr. Pepper, laughing maniacally now.
