Kami nii-sama does not carry any connotation in English, and is, for all intents and purposes, a name. God and brother both carry connotation because both words are well known English words. Thus, the former does not sound awkward, and the latter does. Speaking from a technical standpoint though, kami nii-sama is not a translation at all. | ||
