We know Law gets the fruit and goes his own way at some point. We also know that Doflamingo thinks that he has killed Corazon. So Doflamingo must deliver some sort of killing blow. But if Law has the Ope Ope fruit and any ability to use it, he could transfer Corazon's soul. If Doflamingo uses a killing blow on Corazon and Vergo beats down Law, but doesn't kill him because they don't want to waste the fruit. Then that may leave Law with an opportunity to push Corazon's soul out. He might not even realize that he's done it and the Soul may find its own body by taking over a polar bear. Then later on, Bepo could join Law's crew to watch over him without even telling him. Pretty doubtful, but would be interesting.
I really wish it would be true, but there's to much evidence for bepo not being corazon, he is attracted to female bears as stated around Amazon lily, the crew say he has weak will. And if this would be true, the genius oda would have hinted at it years ago, by making bepo very clumpsy, just like Cora.
But still, I like the idea, I don't want Cora to die, so let's see if something happens thursday.

I have yet to see the bear trip or set itself on fire, so I'm not holding my breath. :D
Assuming Law eats the fruit prior to DD killing Corazon it's technically feasible, but I doubt Law would be able to use an ability like that immediately after getting his powers. Moving the soul seems like a more advanced type of ability to me.
edit: I do think the bear having a moved soul is a decent sounding theory, just not for Corazon.

why do you need immortality surgery when you can just indefinitely switch soul with another, younger, more healthy body.
law is god tier now come to think of it, he just needs a new body once in awhile by switching souls.

The devil fruit power stays with the body not the soul like when Franky got Chopper's body and DF. Even if he could switch his own soul and was ok with losing his DF a lot of these DF powers lose their ability if the original owner is defeated.

In theory law could take someone prisoner, tie himself up, switch bodies with the other person. assuming the other body is now 100% his, he could kill himself/his old body. forcing the df to regrow, And then spend the rest of his life with this new body to refind the ope ope no mi, repeat steps 1-3 and be awesome.

Using all of one's time and energy to avoid death is a miserable existence.
Also there is the possibility he just doesn't find the Ope Ope no mi first.

We shouldn't just take Doflamingo's words at face value. Something tells me that this "immortality surgery" is a pipe dream. Oda is all about inherited will and generations, immortality will go completely against that. Besides, shouldn't we have met an immortal person by now that got the surgery in the past?

unless its just agelessness and geting your head chopped off is still fatal
and finding someone willing to die so that someone else lives forever would be rare, add that in to a rare fruit and id be surprised if anyone ever was immortal

Re the immortality surgery:
I would be hard pressed to think it is something you can easily do if you don't even know how to use the DF powers.
Also, it's most likely an advanced technique using the DF, so not just anyone can do it, or be forced to do it right?
But I think Mostha has a point, I don't see how doing it for someone else makes him immediately immortal, I can only see it being done on yourself (Law basically).
He would tie both himself and his new "body" of choice, prep for the transfer but engage room to suspend a fatal blow to be released upon his transfer into the new body.
Once he transfer, room ability is released and the weapon essentially falls onto his old body thus killing his old body.
The prerequisite though for the DF to be retransfered to a nearby fruit should be present at the site to allow for the new body to re acquire the same powers, so obviously the new body should have no DF powers yet.
Basically similar to how Orochimaru in Naruto allows for his immortality via transferring to new host bodies (Sort of)

the problem with the 'theory' is that we don't know that much about devil fruit respawning. We know the sara sara no mi of slimey respawned on a nearby apple.
It is also mentioned multiple times, that there is a book with most devil fruits listed, and that a devil fruit gives of a certain aura. Let's say tranfering body's let's law keep his haki etc. he might be able to find the fruit relatively fast, especially if it spawns on a nearby fruit, then it's quite easy. but we can't know for sure.
The whole theory certainly never going to happen, but the idea stays quite funny.

It would be funny that every fruit has different lifespan (in the eater's body) after they are eaten, maybe like 100years or 999 years (in Brook's case) and they would return to their fruit form, so it doesnt matter to most devil fruit eater anyway but still.

What if this ability is not public knowledge, and is only known by the most higher ups of the world government/celestial dragons?
Would it be over the top to assume that they know this because they have used the DF power for this purpose? For example, the gorosei could be immortal? They are a bunch of old men. Because the DF is very difficult to find, that's why there may be generation gaps between the gorosei. The immortals lives on, the mortals die, new gorosei come along who may or may not be immortal
