I agree actually. It may have to do with I started watching the show when they were near the end of Ennies Lobby and caught up when they finished with that arc. So then I had to wait a week for each episode. But Thriller Bark in general was just like.. meh. I felt that it was just TOO goofy (yea I know, wtf?) and there wasn't anything serious at all. I think that's why I loved Ennies Lobby so much. They had a serious plot but mixed in with some nice comic relief items.

I actually liked the Baroque works and Loguetown parts...because im a huge Zoro fan and he was really epic in those =) I actually voted Loguetown because that was a really really short arc so I felt a lot of people wouldn't vote it just because it was short although I felt the quality in that arc was pretty good.

I agree. The Loguetown arc, although quite short, was really memorable. It offered so many glimpses into Luffy's family line and life story, and the foreshadowing was very well done. Also, this was where they started for the Grand Line so I felt it as a sort of beginning for them.

Enies Lobby was the most filler on the anime side. There had to be at least a dozen episodes that consisted of like, 5 minutes of actually new content. Was a whole lot of "this is what happened last time" with a new scene added here or there into the "last time" info so it could be part of the main show instead of the "previously" segment.
The actual content, fights, story, and all that was pretty good, but the whole thing really dragged.

This is true. I wish they just had a giant filler arc or something instead of dragging the main story. They're still doing it right now with the whole Impel Down and Pirate vs. Marine War, yet they're nearly all caught up to the manga. I can only imagine them just caving in and do a big filler arc after this fight.

i hate giant filler arcs, i prefer mini filler ones, like 3-4 episodes of funny stuff even if that means it occurs more frequently. its just a good change of pace

I sort of agree, but One Piece has a decent track record with larger filler arcs. Like the G8 filler arc was good, and that Ice Hunters filler arc wasn't bad.

Not too big on ICE hunter filler. but G8 is one of my beloved arcs <3 eevven if its just a filler. So I would rather have a Big cohesive filler arc than have like several small filler epis. Thats what naruto did and boy..that was like months of crap.

I don't think the Alabasta arc is liked more than Ennies Lobby, but Ennies Lobby was stuck in the same poll as the Whitebeard's War, which probably took alot of votes from it. Alabasta on the other hand, really only had to compete with the Arlong arc.
And its not that people didn't like those early arcs, its just they liked other arcs better. You only get 1 vote, you know.

That's true. I guess I should rephrase it and say I'm surprised how nobody has the early arcs as their FAV. But I'm just generally happy in this thread. We get to talk about OP and nobody is really an ass, and we just sharing our opinions about OP which is just pretty much awesome.

Alabasta and Enies Lobby were my favorite arcs... I really liked Skypeia but it got REALLY confusing at some parts lol

Yeah, I agree Skypeia is like harder to enjoy than other arcs cause it was so random and confusing.
Alabasta and Enies Lobby does seem to be the most favorite. I wonder how much people actually like Vivi and how much people like Alabasta because of her. I never felt a connection with Vivi. I mean she is a very commendable for what she goes through for her country but...she doesn't have much personality to me. I like Caroo better...Lol.

what's the point of reading spoilers? no matter what its a 7-day cycle. you can read spoilers every 7 days or just enjoy the manga every 7 days... i prefer the latter, but whatever floats your boat.

Hey, my students are really into this. I'd like to know a little about it to use character names and make jokes in the classroom. I have skimmed a bit of the thread and it seems like it's mostly people who are probably about as serious about this thing as my JHS kids(!). If anyone is feeling like a good Samaritan, please PM me some info. Wiki seems to indicate this is a huge media shenanigan so I'd like to find some starting points.
EDIT: I already got some great help. TL rules! I have already impressed students by pointing at their keychains and saying character names!
