Being a Logia does not make you a god at combat and Monet uses snow which is a solid form of water not a liquid or a gas so even without armament Haki Zoro can block snow. Monet is a much weaker version of Aokoji and Zoro was able to fight Aokoji for a bit by blocking his ice sword just Aokoji completely outclassed Zoro. If Aokoji was much weaker Zoro would have been able even pre-timeskip to block Aokoji's attacks but not be able to harm Aokoji. Robin was also able to save Nami without Haki from Monet and attack Aokoji both who use solid versions of water not gas or liquid forms. You need Haki to harm a logia user not to fight one.

What if Oda had simply run out of ideas of 'buying time' until the time when the strawhats could finally begin to get serious and finish the arc in a dominating fashion. But of course that's highly unlikely, this is not naruto or bleach.

Lol, I'ma think of it this way. He does have armament haki but just doesn't want to hurt anyone near the battle because it is just too much. Monet does comment that she would have trouble with him at first so there is something amiss here.

We know Zoro can use haki because luffy said so, we will find out why he hasn't attacked her in due course

New Chapter!!!
This was a pretty damn good chapter. We now know that it takes some sort of conscious thought in order to control logia powers. Buggy is a paramecia so I don't know if it applies to him, but if you're unfocused or scared, it makes it harder to control your body. If this is indeed true, it would probably be an example of how strong some logia are, since Kizaru got sniped from outside his field of vision and still changed his body.

It must be easy to write OP when you have a character like Zoro that you can just leave out of the picture for like 50 chapters then have solo a boss in one hit and everyone is like "told you he was gonna do it"

You could debate that Buggy has seen far scarier things than everything he's encountered thus far =P
But yeah a pretty cool chapter. I liked the little bit of exploration into the logia they did here with Monet.

I could write zoro one hitting a boss, but it's the 50 chapters leading to it that makes one piece awesome.

Really nice chapter, Logia doesn't seem to be that scary if you really are strong.
With Monet and Caribou, we've seen Logia aren't that powerful if not manipulated by the top people in the world.

That was probably just Kizaru's observation Haki TBH and since he could sense that the people shooting him did not have Haki he did not try to doge he just activated his ability instead.
