+ Show Spoiler + traitor got revealed straight away which is good. how the traitor is york is a big wtf. shes controlling the seraphim and got s-hancock to immediately unpetrify her in the explosion she creates? went back to reread the last few chapters and york definitely disappears from all panels immediately after her petrification. or is there a york clone that is disconnected from the hive mind? at least york being the traitor kind of fits with the character of the satellites though, due to york being the embodiment of vegapunks greed. i scoured the net out of curiosity and found this thread. https://www.reddit.com/r/OnePiece/comments/zbpscl/theory_there_is_a_traitor_in_the_current_manga/ this guy called it 3 months ago. what a gigachad | ||

If you wound up with "Yes," to the second part and "No, to the third part then the Love Love Fruit is fine with S-Snake. If you said "Yes," to the third part you're gross. | ||

oda definitely trying to make shanks live up to his hype. blackbeards ship is approaching egghead too so for now it seems like oda has decided to remove law and kid from the story. i really doubt it will be permanent though | ||

It's interesting how Shanks was able to one-shot Kidd though when Big Mom's attacks didn't really do much to him. I guess Shanks is leagues more powerful than even Big Mom? If that's the case, then why did he sit on his hand for so long? Just stroll down to Wano and Whole Cake, one-shot the """emperors""" and take their poneglyphs for yourself. | ||

There are some really nice parallels between the very first chapter (with Shanks' introduction as a character) and this one. Shanks is all fun and giggles until someone points a gun at people he cares about - literally in this case. Same with the "bet your life on it" line from the first chapter - Killer warns Kidd that they'll take his life this time, he replies saying he's ready to take the risk ("only if I lose"). The brutality with which Shanks annihilates his crew also mirrors the beginning of the series - Rou headshots the bandit pointing the gun at Shanks from point blank range, Beckman wipes the floor with the rest, the leader gets eaten by a sea king. The mountain bandit gang got wiped from existence the same way Kidd's crew did, and for the same reasons. Shanks declares they're not saints, they're pirates, and you should be prepared to die if you raise your weapon to harm others they care about. It's a testament to Ora's consistency that these fundamental themes of the character are all still there and visible. | ||
