Eh, Kreig's technological violations weren't as egregious. Maybe civil war or WW1 era at best. If that was the cutting edge of science then that would be easier to accept. However, eventually we got into futuristic shit which starts to throw everything out of wack. I mean hell, why even use sailing ships anymore if you can just have tankers and submarines? Why use flintlocks and gunpowder if semi-automatic firearms are ubiquitous? Doesn't really feel like a pirate manga anymore.

it’s been heavily hinted that the world of one piece was a lot more advanced in the void era ever since the conclusion of water seven with pluton being revealed as an advanced battleship (based on frank and iceberg’s reaction), kuma’s proper introduction as a true cyborg unlike franky at the hands of vegapunk

I'd be fine with that if it was treated as an anomaly. Moon robots, ancient weapons, lost technology, etc... That's all good. It doesn't interfere too much. It's a pretty common trope in fantasy to have a lost advanced civilization. Except now in One Piece we have wide spread adoption of advanced technology across the entire world. Kinda screws with the whole setting when any old shmuck can be a cyborg with jet packs and laser beams.

So apparently Vegapunk is split into six different bodies but can piece himself back into a single entity if needed.

I wonder how the WG is going to pose a threat to Straw Hats in this arc. Maybe by involving the Seraphims, whatever they are?
