its difficult to guess though. the point about a fruit being renamed means that we have to have knowledge of the fruit already. the only 2 fruits that are of interest right now are probably luffy and tama's. tama because she can control animals and zou just happens to show up out of nowhere, and luffys because the wg was guarding his fruit for some reason.
seems unlikely that if the gorosei was referring to tama, they would be worrying about an awakening when the girl is like 10 years old or something.
another possibility would be that uranus is actually a devil fruit and the world government named the devil fruit uranus specifically to mask the fact that the ancient weapon is a devil fruit power. which fruit this would be referring to out of the characters in wano (or zou) is hard to guess though.
also another interesting point is that zou is hand delivering the road poneglyph to kaido and big mom atm.
actually theres a 3rd fruit that could be relevant which is the toki toki fruit. been gone for centuries because the user went forward in time and so it would make sense that the gorosei considers the fruit to be legend and makes sense for oda to rename the fruit now since the fruits official name hasnt been revealed. an awakened toki toki fruit would most likely make you travel in time without limitations which seems like an op as fuck skill to have but who the hell knows what happened to that fruit anyway

The Gorosei speculation about Devil Fruits also prove that they are not an invention of Vegapunk, since they have been around for centuries. About Luffy being the only one not to awaken a fruit, there's plenty of pirates in the New World that could awaken their respective fruit.

I thought Devil Fruits were stated to be weapons used in the Void Century before? Did people think Vegapunk invented them wholesale, that doesnt make a lot of sense imo
Also I wonder what it actually takes for a Devil Fruit awakening, has that ever been really talked about?

No, awakening hasn't ever been properly explained. We've seen a few users but how they got there? No idea. It's interesting that Oda puts a proper explanation for that after all the haki stuff though.
Also regarding DFs, Oden's wife literally used one to jump 800 years into the future. And I don't think it's ever been implied that Vegapunk is a thousand years old.

Lol what if it's Toki's fruit and she develops the ability to go back in time and she goes back and grabs Oden before he died and brings him to the present. That would be the ultimate Oda moment, haha.

Honestly I hope it is to do with Tokis fruit, it makes the most sense within the time frame that the Gorosei would be operating on, after all Toki time kept hundreds of years into the future so her fruit would basically have been disappeared from the planet for hundreds of years too.

How does a 16th division commander hold against CP0? How does Izo even fight, with Haki pistols? Maybe it's a samurai thing, picking a fight you know you can't win.

Well I guess nothing really happened? Another fight with characters I don't really care about was set up so we can delay Kaido vs Luffy a bit more, also one where Izo has zero chances on paper if he struggled with trash. Kid & Law look favored now in their fight against BM I assume but then again the opposite was true at the start of the chapter, so who knows.

Man, Whitebeard's crew just can't catch a break. Many are dead, mutilated, or are being hunted by the government or other pirates.
Not a very optimistic look on Yonko crew future prospects if the boss gets taken out. It makes me wonder what'll happen to the Beast and Mom pirates after this arc.
Honestly, why don't most pirates just become marines? Smoker is a marine that acts like a pirate. Doesn't follow orders, goes where he wants, talks constant shit, and if he ever wants to retire he can settle down on some peaceful island without fear of being hunted, kinda like Garp.

too much going on and oda, once again, trying to show everything at once. Doens't make sense how law is able to use his awakening again. Oda keeps contradicting himself...At this point, luffy can go gear 4 for 40 hrs

There's no such thing as "trash" in Kaidos crew. This is why everyone was keeping Luffy from fighting at the beginning of the raid.
Oda has always emphasized the importance of "trash" and how sheer numbers do tilt outcomes, look at the CP0 Board.

Luffy literally beat 50.000 low tier fighters with conqueror's haki within a second in the past, numbers don't matter since the timeskip. Nobody in Luffy's crew struggled even for more than a few seconds with any non-headliner beast pirate this arc, I thought that the CP0 board was ridiculous. Random dudes from Wano keep on whooping the floor with the beast pirates as we know thanks to it.
And now I'm supposed to take Izo seriously after he apparently got wounded in a fight with some guys who usually get one-shot in masses?
They stopped Luffy from spending energy on trash instead of on Kaido. They were never a danger for Luffy, Luffy simply wasn't supposed to exhaust himself on meaningless targets because there are a lot and he's gonna have to deal with the real problem sooner rather than later.

Yeah, in my recollection numbers have never really been an issue when powerful pirates fight, starting all the way from Captain Kuro's crew. Based on how it was depicted, marines won at Marineford with elite fighters (Admirals and Pacifistas) instead of endless numbers. Conqueror's Haki is basically the author elevating the strongest to demigod levels; if you don't have it, take a hike.
