Real talk: What's preventing them from escaping into the sea? From what we've seen, the Big Mom pirates have virtually no underwater capabilities since the Sun Pirates just walk all over them like it's nothing. The most they could do get Oven to boil the surface of the ocean, but that's it. So just put everyone in the submarine and have the Sun Pirates carry them outta there.

Last ship died at the end of the last friend rescue arc. Since the new world is just recycled story arcs by Oda it makes sense

So... what actually happened on the last page/panel? Did Sunny really blow up? Will they get a new ship or maybe the cannonball/shot hit only the mast and got the flag and they dove with the coating just before?

I think the cake is so good she temporarily lost control of her devil's fruit and random things started to leak out of her that she ate all these years ago? Regurgitating past meals?

Thought so too, we see Big Mum fantasizing about her past while in the background all the heroes in reality "die" while Big Mum is throwing some fitting lines explaining her motivation. So yes, the way I read this chapter Sunny and Germa went down.

Why has Oven been made out to be a huge badass? He should be fodder based on both what # child he is and the fact t that his power is boring. He can heat stuff up? Cool, let me introduce you to Sakazuki/Sabo. We get him doing crazy shit like singlehandedly beating the Fishman pirates but I just don't get why.

What does # of child have to do with anything? And for him specifically. He's triplets with Katakuri & Daifuku. All 3 are monsters.

I don't like the Sunny at all. Why even use a wooden ship when you can use an Iron-clad tanker? Why use sails when you can have an engine? Maybe Franky could team up with Kidd and they could make a giant Ice-breaker submersible ship.
