I want Zoro to be Luffy's eternal rival and friend!!! What is Jinbei going to do to the team dynamics!?? Seriously though, Oda needs to think this one through... one thing that has constantly upheld this story is that Zoro has been the badass that has always been Luffy's closest friend and nakama, as well as his greatest rival in fighting strength, as we could see several times (their duel in the cactus land, Zoro setting down the law when Usopp left, and Zoro sacrificing his life for Luffy during the Thriller Park arc). I really don't want to see Zoro lose his place as the real badass that balances this story. To be honest, I really wished Oda made him stronger than Luffy over the break, which would cause some really interesting storylines that I'd love to read about, and how Luffy will be pushed to be even stronger. Why do I worry so much? I don't want OP to become the next Dragonball Z. Sure everyone loves DBZ, but honestly it got so ridiculous towards the end, simply because Goku had no more rivals within his own friends. He ALWAYS was the one to save everyone, ALWAYS had more strength than Vegeta, and it became ridiculous. There can always be more than 1 hero. The amazing thing about OP is that the entire crew are all heroes. | ||
