Every member of Strawhat's crew is weaker and somewhat less experienced than Luffy that will grow in his shadow. Jinbe would be too out of place. Shirahoshi aswell, it would make the manga as lame as Naruto/Bleach saving everyone just by crying and calling seakings. No thanks.
Zoro was never shown as under Luffy's shadow, and was often depicted as Luffy's equal early on, before Luffy's bounty simply got higher and higher. Robin's bounty was actually higher than Luffy's for a time when she first joined, and more experienced than Luffy who had only been out at sea for maybe a year? Then we have Brook, who had already lived his entire life as a captain of his own crew, so he definitely has more experience. One Piece isn't like Bleach were the MC completely eclipses everyone else in his group. Anyway, point being, it isn't that out of place for Jinbe to join. Not saying he will, but at this point it could go either way.
that part about robin having a higher bounty than luffy is not true. his bounty was 100mil before robin joined the crew
Luffy's bounty was raised shortly after they left Alabasta. It wasn't an instant raise. Robin joined right after they left the island.

Contrasts with Sanji's power sure but there's no origin to his abilities. As far as we know he's been a singer for the past years and his devil fruit has only been elaborated to give him more dependable invulnerability.
Brook's sword, I believe, has ice attributes. I don't think Brook has ice powers. His devil fruit is more or less the "soul" which I think Oda extends to soul music. Basically, his powers has developed to where he can affect other people through music.
Edit: That's my take on what's been revealed about Brook.

Nah, Brooke's power evolved into him being able to extend his soul into things like he does with his sword

that was just his leg, now he can do his whole body or something

Well I found that exact scene
He looks very similar to the way he looked in the manga, but I guess it was just a gag in this earlier case so it might not be the same thing

A little expected that this would happen but I didn't know Sea Kings were advanced thinkers. I thought the were just mindless killing machines, kinda odd looking at it. I wonder what the story is behind Joy Boy, the Poneglyph, and Noah are. Also I wonder when Hody is gonna get back in there. So many questions left unanswered.

i'm still confused by the fact that the island is "owned" by big mam but she's made no appearance or had any mention of her except for the one flag that was mentioned off-hand some time in the beginning of the arc. no messengers, no underlings, no nothing.
