The mental image I have of Luffy from the Japanese voice actor is different from the one I get off the English voice actor. I don't generally mind dubs, some are better than others. However one piece even the newer one by Funimation just isn't good. While the voices aren't straight terrible like the 4kids (everything was terrible about 4kids), they aren't great and too much is lost. There is just too much emotion lost and too much being left out in translation for me. While I do purchase the DVD's to support One Piece, I don't watch them. I only watch the fansubs. Imo this is one that is worth reading subtitles, you are doing yourself a disservice watching the Dub. Basically it comes down to the English voice actors on the whole just don't give a damn and it shows. | ||

great chapter but what are you going to do about the falling, island sized ship? Hopefully the straw hats will form into the super robot combo and unleash a super attack that destroys that thing. | ||

Chopper's brute force is seen but his new abilities still needs to be developed. Franky got Punabot's lazer beams. Sanji's diablo jambe now extends to his entire body Zoro raping with swords as usual. The only one who is surprising is Brook. When the hell did he get ice powers or refined sword skills? Contrasts with Sanji's power sure but there's no origin to his abilities. As far as we know he's been a singer for the past years and his devil fruit has only been elaborated to give him more dependable invulnerability. | ||
