Change the hairstyle and the highbrows and Ichigo, Lieutenant Kiba, Ukitake, Urahara are pretty much the same. That's why a lot of characters have very distinct hairdo and or facial extra features like tatoos, scars or mask. And yet again a retarded bankai. And you can smell the typical: " i get super strong but then I amlost die/become useless" double edged sword from a mile away. | ||

It wasn't just implied, it was flat out said by the other characters. Granted they were people opposing Hitsugaya's bankai, but he sure fought them like he had to finish before the last petal wilted rather than just stall until he reached final form. That's basically Gutt's power in the berserker armor, pretty sure his aura changed colors even (and it shows the berserker armor acting as a splint as his bones break). In Naruto, Guy and Lee also turned red as they unlocked their gates (which also hurt themselves). I wonder if that's some Japanese folktale or manga artists just like copying each other. | ||
