Yeah so he's not going to learn anything, he's just going to get stronger and stronger until he wins. In which case there's no reason he'd learn shikai or bankai or whatever, unless kubo specifically wants him to. So you're going to end up with the strongest character in the bleach universe. So what's the point of Ichigo? Unless the final battle is with kenpachi, this has all become pointless. | ||

Don't count on it that Zaraki won't learn his sword stuff. Remember that Zaraki will only be slightly stronger than Unohana by the time he finally beats her. When he stops going unconscious, he's not going to really gain more and more power, but learning his sword is definitely possible and would have his power go up like crazy. | ||

Zaraki is a Zampakutou himself. When he finally breaks out of all his "chains"(not on Unohona fight, but on some super-awesome fight against the quincy), he becomes Bankai. | ||

Yes I did. that does not invalidate the stupid theory above :D Okay, let's improve on it - The zampakutou guy from the zero division tries to create the "ultimate zampakutou" and creates one that cannot be defeated. This zampakutou breaks free and starts killing everything in sight, until a captain-level shinigami - the strongest one at it - appears to fight him. Then, he proceeds to generate "chains" to restrain himself in order to find an enjoyable battle - as his spirit was designed to want, being such a destructive zampakutou - and these chains holds his power level. These "chains" are what we call Shikai and Bankai. As he loses his restrains(for example, summoning a fucking skull when fighting represents his Shikai form) he becomes stronger. The Bankai will remove ALL of his restrains. Tellin' ya, there is a reason why we were introduced to this story just as ichigo and renji went to the zampakutou quarter on the 0 division. | ||
