It was a confusing chapter, but hopefully the next one will explain things a little bit better. YOU FOOL! That will never happen! People have been hoping that would happen for several arcs forget chapters. The two new characters are random. Vizards reappearing seems cool, but Bleach doesn't really handle a lot of characters well.

Then, all of a sudden he's standing on the bed (according to Ichigo)? It doesn't make any sense to me. It was a confusing chapter, but hopefully the next one will explain things a little bit better. Next to the window is the bed... you can clearly see that he's standing on the bed lol.

Honestly, I haven't been able to figure out what's going on with the manga since Ichigo rescued Rukia from prison in Soul Society wayyyy back when. Everything after the fight with Byakuya has just been a giant clusterfuck of what?! to me.

Also wouldn't mind some character progression other than 'I did x, and am now stronger for no reason!' but some actual like... character progression? Relationships, maturity, world view, motivation, etc. Although I suppose it would feel out of place in Bleach.

For some reason I was only looking at the top of the page. Hmm, yes I do remember the first part. I know it will be explained in the next few chapters. I haven't really read the past few chapters in the last arc, though, so I'm not sure about the teasers. Either way, I'm looking forward to the next chapter. I'm interested in who this guy is. He could be the new villain, but Kubo always likes to put in people who look menacing but actually turn out not to be. ![]()

Kubo puts random lines and vectors all over the place just to fill up space because he's too lazy to draw actual details. His characters in many panels are just basic outlines. In areas where there should be detail and contour lines he's just putting shade patches and not even those are well drawn. Just look at his technique for drawing necks. All you see are a bunch of straight lines that end in a black blot. Example: http://www.mangareader.net/bleach/481/12 Example of good manga art: http://www.mangastream.to/air-gear-chapter-311-page-16.html Meh I like his artstyle. But he's changing it all the time. He almost never draws backgrounds/surroundings anymore which is really a shame because it keeps his characters almost floating in nothingness. His battles have become incredibly weak, almost incomparable to the beginnings of this manga... Kubo has managed to master this minimal effort technic. Every damn week you get 18 pages of almost nothing. These mangas are best consumed when you can read 50ish chapters at once. Then it's good again.

That is the only thing that comes to mind when the last 1-2 chapters said "It's them"

A lot of people comment that as an entire work, the pacing is magnificent. As a weekly installment, though, it's painful.

Comparison with Oh Great! is a little unfair, though. Air Gear pushes out the same amount of pages biweekly. Besides, Oh Great! is WAY better an artist.
