Further, Rukia's powers were taken back, so that's not a valid reason. And Shinigamis are supposed to be spirits of the dead. So how exactly the hell is Ichigo's dad alive and having kids? And how are any of the other Shinigami alive in the real world? Basically, none of this makes a single bit of sense and Tite Kubo, instead of spending his story time to explain any of the completely inconsistent rules of his world so that they make any sense, spends his time just making new fights and coming up with new stupid names for shit we've already seen. Nor were the Vaizards and how they are alive in the real world ever explained. Basically nothing has ever been explained in Bleach. It's just endless retarded fights that are totally meaningless. I long ago gave up on the anime, and god, I think I'm about to give up on the manga too. Because it just feels completely arbitrary. New characters are introduced for no good reason and then used as plot devices then shuffled off for the next batch of idiots. | ||

Why? We're going somewhere. It took long enough, but now that we have an implied direction for movement of the plot, I can accept the as-always mediocre holes and stupid shit. We have mention of Rukia and Soul Society in a way that implies that Ichigo and/or Sado don't know what is going on, and are helping people or doing something in a way that Soul Society has a problem with. Of all the chapters after, and in many cases before the death/sealing/whatever of Aizen, this one really seemed acceptable. Maybe that is because at this point I have expectations, but I'm moderately re-interested again. | ||

I would've forgotten about that badge if they hadn't shown it in this arc lol.
