Ip Man was all right, nothing really special though. For MA movies my auto-recommended list looks as follows: Hero (very artistic) Redbelt (very real) Fearless (best fight scenes ever) Ong Bak (fun fun fun) Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon (really cool)
And for more Jet Li awesomeness: Kiss of the Dragon Romeo Must Die Unleashed aka Danny the Dog Once Upon A Time In China series

Do watch Ong Bak 1. It's pretty cool. Do not watch Ong Bak 2, unless you're with some friends and a couple of beers and expect to have a laugh. NEVER watch Ong Bak 3. The horror ...
Hero was pretty good lol. The Hangover - Some parts made me chuckle. It was ok I guess, usually don't watch comedies but it kept me entertained for the most part. Doubt I will bother with Part 2 though.
Throne of Blood - Kurosawa's version of Macbeth set in Feudal Japan. Fucking amazing, blew me away. My favorite Kurosawa film so far.
holy shit ong bak the thai warrior!!!!! everyone should watch that movie. i mean holy shit that movie is awesome. the stunts in the movie are so bad-ass they actually slo-mo replay some of them. i agree, don't watch the sequels. i've tried to watch them and always end up changing the channel very quickly. also iron monkey is a good one if you like ong bak.
Thor was kinda lame imo. that whole story line is getting really played out. the fallen hero struggling for redemption....boooooo. the movie should have been Thor whipping that hammer around crushing frost giants for 90 minutes. i was very impressed by how Thor used the hammer as a weapon, very cool.
word of advice, pirates stranger tides was shot in 2d and they made it 3D in post-production. if you saw Clash of the Titans in 3D you'll understand why you should save some money and see it in 2D.
last movie i saw was Your Highness. i loved it, but then again i smoked a fat J all the way to movie theater and for like 10 min in the parking lot :p

yea that's one of my favorite movies of all time. I meant it's batman fighting wolverine over scarlett johansson using magic tricks. How sweet is that? Also siiick Tesla cameo

Best movie I have seen in a LONG time.
It had MERMAIDS 'n' shit.
that movie was atrocious, the 2nd and 3rd were among some of the worst movies ive ever seen. please spare yourself from the 4th one and the theatre ticket.
went in with low expectations but was blown away. The key to enjoying it is not to really think too hard about the story because there are a few plot-holes, but just enjoy the scenes/camera-work and music. The musical score in this movie is just amazing.. I think most of the songs are done by The Chemical Brothers, who did the soundtrack for fight club. Here's one of my favorite songs that plays in the final chase scene: + Show Spoiler +
anyways, go watch the movie if you like edgy actions/thrillers with awesome music. I give it a 9/10
Also recently rewatched godfather p2 I've always liked it way more than part 1

IP Man would of been much better if it was actually based on IP Man. He had an amazing life and the movie just rights him off as a demigod instead of the drug addicted troubled man he was.
Watched it only 'cos it's Donnie Yen's latest movie (the guy who played Ip Man). Piece of shit, do not watch. The storyline can be summed up as such: "Guy fights the army to get a chick back to her stud without ever taking advantage of said chick due to heroic loyalty or some similar bullshit." Even the fight scenes are shit (basically involving random sword swipes that you can't follow anyway).
Well.....it was certainly different then I think any movie I have watched. I feel like I have to rewatch this though to understand it more. I tend to enjoy movies more when they dont try to mindfuck me :S
The plot of Memento is painfully easy to understand by the end of the movie:+ Show Spoiler +
The guy probably takes revenge on his wife every time he has a major relapse in memory. He keeps forgetting that he is successful in avenging his wife's death, resulting in him killing a new guy each time. It is unknown whether Carrie-Ann Moss as been taking advantage of him for this little while or over a larger time period.
All I know is that I feel bad for the guy a little bit and hate just about every character in the movie. I do not like movies like this.
I do like mindfuck movies though, sometimes. One of my favorites is this one: This movie is very well-executed and the acting is supremely good. Naomi Watts' best performance. There's an excellent atmosphere of mystery in this movie and it requires a viewing or two in order to really get what's going on. After you see it you'll be dying to try and figure out just what the hell happened. David Lynch also managed to break Naomi Watts psychologically while filming this movie. Try to guess what scene.
expected some shitty plot with over the top action scene with the hope that the cast would rake in viewers through the name value, but really really enjoyed this one. chris brown doing his best tony jaa impression was lol
Loved the film, loved the story, it all seemed very well thought out. One thing I didn't like was how close it relates to my life. It's too heartbreaking
I didn't like the major role 'using' people had in this film. I know it was important, but it all seemed downright fake till the end. It's sweet, but it's not exactly getting it done the right way.
