Excellent movie. Watched Departed before without knowing that it was only a rip off of this fantastic film (not to say Departed is a bad rip off, it's definitely on par with this one but the story is more or less 1:1 the same)

Colin Firth is quite good in it, as is Julianne Moore. Still, the movie is a bit of a let down. It has a ton of potential from the very beginning and even though it's a very pretty film (too pretty, imo), it's shallow in many ways. I guess what you'd expect from a fashion designer.
It had a lot more to work with than most heartbreak films, but it just drifted into a very cliche mold. The best parts didn't get explored enough.

I went and saw it at midnight. It was a pretty good movie and lived up to the rest of the Toy Story series.

I watched Ferris Bueller's Day Off for the first time an hour ago, and it lived up to hype.
I also watched Shortbus, which was a surprisingly good film, even if it does get carried away with being a porn movie periodically.

A man wanders out of the desert not knowing who he is. His brother finds him, and helps to pull his memory back of the life he led before he walked out on his wife and son four years before. As his memory returns, he makes contact with various people from his past. Saw Texas, Paris today. Definitely one of the best movies I've ever seen.

If only episodes I-III could be on this level...
I know that last 2 are TV series and not movies, but they were still great.

Watched Mesrine: Public Enemy No. 1 yesterday, I remember reading about it somewhere in this thread. I wouldn't go as far as recommending this movie, it was decent but not much else. It did have that authentic French old school feel to it, classic style action thriller. The plot is a bit too much for the movie and the ending is somewhat abrupt. I felt like it needed at least another hour to complete all the psychological developments and tie everything together properly.
Popular French movies started to lack depth years ago, I'm not sure what it is. Easy to watch though which is a plus. And Ludivine Sagnier was absolutely smoking hot.
