And most depressing funeral/wake scene in a movie. There is no dialog and its does it better than most "drama's"

i like scifi but i doubt there is anything around this year (saw interstella) comedy (not slapstick) or comedy romance might be good . like, one with a twist/interesting or any mindfuck movie (seen most of them) whats that mindfuck movie with a weird name? the starts is ... girl or guy pretend to be living in a big house.... then girl is kidnapped maybe in a sports car??? then 2 guys talk and i always turned it off there from being too high so yeah... anyone rec me modern comedy romance with interesting ? or any interesting movie like Hancock which was fucking brilliant what was that superhero type movie where a bunch of young kids got super powers like Heroes? not the 3 teen boy one, they were younger i think and some girls. YES give name of that i will watch it its not Chronicle but came out a little befoer that maybe

Posting this got me thinking a bit about the nature of filmmaking and i realised that a film like this where all of the central characters have some kind of mental illness must be really liberating for a writer. Think about it, what we define as sane behaviour is actually a very narrow range. Outside of that, you can write a character however you want, meaning the situation itself doesn't have to be interesting for the scenes to play out in a funny or unique way.

I like how he plays with certain concepts and doesn't always rely on the stereotypical way of filmmaking. Also, the heavy (take that with a grain of salt) usage of filters is something refreshing to see. Regarding Ink: I kind of was dissapointed in myself that I only "got" what what it was all about, but that's my bad I guess. + Show Spoiler + And with got I mean the connections between the characters, not the concept of the movie! Regarding The Frame: it's a very romanticized version of 2 people finding eachother and embracing their problems. I kinda of became very annoyed by one of the main characters, but nevertheless a great movie. Also saw The Man From Earth. Good movie; good plot (and twist imo); and overall a nice story to listen to. Interactions seemed a little bit bland at times, but perhaps that is because it's such a down to earth movie. Then we have A Scanner Darkly, which took me forever to finally check out (tried to watch it half paying attention, stoned out of my mind, but I couldn't wrap myself around the concept in the first 5 minutes LOL). I like this kind of animation, Robert Downey Jr. puts down a great performance as the neurotic "supergenius", which he oddly enough seems like he's born to do and then it's some typical plot for Keanu. All 4 movies are recommended by the way.

i tried browsing rotten tomatoes and got thru like 500 movies until i misclicked and it reset me to the beginning again. the only scene i remember, POSSIBLY from a trailer, was very grey coloured maybe raining, a bunch of kids like 10+ years old? were trying to escape being captured maybe in a foreign market street or near a train station, they had a variety of powers each like .... idk force push, something else, suction or were getting sucked? idk. its POSSIBLE that the kids werent main part of the movie and it was just a small part where it showed people being rounded up, which might mean the film was about adults/an adult OK i think i found it. i think the movie is Push (not entirely sure but looks familiar) ehh im really not sure. the scene looks like it might be the scene i was remembering (the man and loli try to escape a market whilst pursued by 2 guys with powers). but i thought there were more powers/kids with powers being used.... only thing to do is to watch it and see if it satisfies me. like Super 8 im also dling Natural City, Monsters, Number Four, Darkon, Divergent and Zapped (1982). also i shud check out last 2 seasons of Misfits clip from Zapped 1982

Searching for Sugar Man - Documentary about an unknown Detroit musican whose music inspired people in South Africa during the Apartheid. Thought it was slow and sad in the beginning but the ending is inspiring and perfect. Departures - Japanese movie involving undertaking and death ceremony. Despite its grim topic, it is compulsively watchable with funny situations and a good study of this particular occupation and Japanese culture.

I've gone through Imdb's top 250. I only picked the interesting modern ones and a few classics. I've gone through google's list of movies by year from like 2013-2006. I like pretty much all the genres except horror. I'll go through the last few pages... Comedies would be great.
