Sorcerer, was pretty great. Either one of the worst title names or I missed something.
Possession 1981, this is a flat out classic, featuring a young Sam Neil, and easily the best acting ever for a demon possession movie, (the woman is stunning, she won cannes best actress for it.) Im not going to spoil the twist, but it basically ruined one of my favorite horror movies, the special effects are insane. It has a very erradic pace, but if you want to be blown away check it out. How it has slipped under the radar, is a crime!
Exorcist III, also underrated, not as good as the first one, but it was just as scary, and the guy who voices Chucky from Childs Play, gives one hell of a performance.
Also, just as a side note, that trailer for Studio Ghiblis new animation is the worst thing I have ever seen in that medium. Gonna be dreadful. (Rubio, The Robbers Daughter.)
Watched Jul 12, 2014 butchji’s review: This is so stupid and over the top one just has to adore it. Witnessing two invincible Hong Kong police officers walking around small corridors versus endless heavily armed gangsters while barely getting a scratch is a joy to watch. You don't see comparable mayhem in today's action movies.
Very moving and depressing. Even though the characters all use drugs, it's not only applicable to drug addicts. I don't really want to tell too much about it because I'd give away a lot for the people that haven't already seen it, but it's a great movie. Great cinematography, great directing, great acting, and the music is amazing as well. Just a very solid movie definitely deserving of being watched.

David Fincher is the man, this movie blows you away the first time you see it, but kind of like the song, "Dance with the Devil," by Immortal Technique loses its re-watchability.

I could definitely see that happening with Requiem for a Dream. It was a great movie nonetheless and I would highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.
As part of my 26 movie list, this is the second movie that I watched. Great acting by Jack Nicholson, Louise Fletcher and Danny DeVito. Nurse Ratched is a classic villain and everything about this movie was pretty superb. It was funny, sad, dramatic, and lighthearted at all of the right moments and everyone was perfectly cast for their roles. Highly recommended film.
Next film to watch: I'm thinking about going with a classic, so either Chinatown or Citizen Kane are next. Hope they live up to the hype (I'm sure they will).
An awesome movie if you like asian mma action movies. The story is kinda standard of course and a little confusing in the beginning but the fighting scenes are among the best ive ever seen in a movie. and its very brutal aswell
yes i watched the prequel aswell. The second movie is a little different from the first one because theres more story in the beginning and not non-stop action like in the first one. But if you liked the raid youll definitly like the raid 2 aswell.
Its not really necessary to watch the prequel first but Id advise to do so because the raid 2 starts right after part 1 and it helps understanding the story a little better.
Transformers: Age of Extinction. 7/10 - Too much of endless fighting, its like hitting replay from the other movies in this series. It's all really well made, but its way to long (2 1/2h). Tho it has some cool scifi twists and Mark Wahlberg of course which makes it a bit better than it would have.
Pacific Rim: 8/10 - I really liked it much more than expected! Enjoyable Sci-fi overall with really cool fights and somewhat good plot.

A geo-engineered attempt to stop global warming ends up plunging the world into an apocalyptic winter, leaving survivors only on a starkly inegalitarian train that goes around the world once a year. The have-nots in the back plot a revolution that would take them all the way to the front engine room.
With Elysium, this marks another hyped, comically one-dimensional sci-fi about inequality, complete with early movie stage-setting via unjustifiable acts of brutality against the powerless. But unlike Elysium, it satisfies the hype, not with depth but with much cooler action, images, and concepts brought to life. None of it even attempts to make the slightest bit of sense, but if you're like me the movie will keep you captivated enough not to mind.
One area the action disappointed me was in their movie-long build up of an inexplicably capable fighter from the back of the train, who was awesome in every scene. Having never shown any signs of weakness, he's easily defeated later by some dude they failed to build up at all as a fighter. I wouldn't have minded random rich dude's apparent near immortality if they'd done something to work up to it.

I watched this not long ago, and actually really enjoyed it, its been a long time since I seen such good action scenes. The film in general was pretty unique also.
