Acting was terrible, plot was WTF, they could have printed cash with the evangelical crowd but they went this route. Dumb. You don't actually believe evangelical crowd bougth this version? If you do, try reading some user reviews on IMDB, they are fun. I saw the movie with my girlfriend, and we both agreed it was way more entertaining than The Amusing Spiderman 2. The plot - does somebody really expect a coherent plot in this type of movie? and also it's based (loosely) on original which make not much sens too so... Acting was very uneven, but I think Crowe as near fanatic Noah was brilliant at times. I couldn't read his next move* and that felt good. *+ Show Spoiler + Examples : I liked when I was sure he will help Cham with his *new* girlfriend but left her to die instead. The scene was so refreshing compared to other Holywood products with neverending happyending strings. Also, I was sure it would be too drastic if he kills those 2 babies, but he kept me guessing and for that i rate Crowes Noah very high Ofc transformer-like Angels, and some other stuff was ridiculous, but what annoyed me the most was another Anthony Hopkins grandpa character...

This was pretty cool. Lots of action and they give you a new character that's a more masculine Robin. I'm sure kids will love him.

You have to be really patient to appreciate the movie, it didnt win an Oscar for nothing. Well it broke pretty much every law of physics in order to render it more intense for Hollywood's sake. Because of that, Europa Report was robbed hard.

He works better as a foil to other characters anyway. What Winter Soldier did nail, though, was it wasn't insulting or stupid like Iron Man 2/3, Thor 2. I think they could do a Captain America that was as good as Iron Man. I feel that Winter Soldier was leading up to being better than Iron Man but they decided they had to go full on Action Movie in the final third which really brought it down. If they instead kept with the idea of it being an espionage thriller for the full movie I think it would have worked out a lot better.

Didn't have very high expectations of a movie that's just 2 hours of beautiful scenery with music overlaid on it, but somehow I had my eyes glued on it the entire time. Was quite mesmerizing. Would recommend.

Or even be in the US Senat. And beeing reelected after saying "You don't need to pass an IQ test to be in the Senate". Definitely falls closer to the mockumentary category.

A romance movie set in 1987 where a criminal escapes from prison and holds a single depressed mother and her son hostage to try to escape. Pretty good acting. Storyline has some holes imo but that's fine.

Ok. There have been way worse superhero movies. I was bothered by how + Show Spoiler + The baron's algorithm was used at run time. I feel like that information could have been acquired and the algorithm run earlier.

I hit a point there, it was a bit like War Games 2, the straight to video sequel to the Matthew Broderick, 80s classic in that you + Show Spoiler + had a "super computer," that takes on a computer generations beyond the original in a contest. I get it, I suppose hydra would have been linking into him all the time, but keeping him on Magnetic tape, for 70-80 years? c'mon man

![]() Pandorum (2009) Don't watch. Really really bad. Sort of like Prometheus but even worse. ![]() Out of the Furnace (2013) I had sworn to never watch a movie with C. Affleck starring again, but I did anyway. Very easy to follow and laid back; pretty standard drama/action plot I'd say. A story about a small family living in a small town who get into trouble easy but watch over each other. Affleck annoyed me once again, but Harrelson played his character really well! ![]() Assassins (1995) Typical movie they would broadcast on tv on a Saturday evening back when I was still a teen. You know, police car chase scene, NYC alleys, disguises, guns and explosions. I liked the bad guy, not so much the girl. Watching it left me feeling a bit nostalgic. ![]()

![]() Godzilla (2014) by Gareth Edwards ★★★★ Watched 14 May, 2014 This film was made for cinema. I think Godzilla might have the best sound effects since the introduction of sound to film. An oscar should be guaranteed for this achievement. The first (major) appearance of Godzilla on screen was bombastic with a roar so amazing it must've put a wide grin on the face of even the greatest naysayer. Again mostly thanks to the amazing sound. Eventhough I really like Alexandre Desplat's work (The Tree of Life comes to mind) the score for Godzilla has only a few tracks above mediocrity. Rightfully so the most criticism this film gets is for its script. The overall story works just fine for a disaster film like this yet it's also filled with countless clichés and flat characters you've seen a thousand times. The scenes with the Navy admiral (played by William Stenz) in his command center debating with a reasonable scientist (played by Ken Watanabe) could be copy pasted from any random Transformer film. A lot of the dialogue felt like it was written for the trailers in desperate search for epic one-liners. But that could also be because I've watched the trailers so often. Aaron Taylor-Johnson seems to get a lot of shit for his performance but Ken Watanabe's single facial expression (baffled beyond belief) was actually more annoying for me after a while. The halo drop sequence was amazing stylistically and a good excuse to put the main character (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) directly into the fight of the monsters. It felt more like a boyscout trip once they reached the ground though as I've never felt they were in real danger. Neither did any of the characters, at least I couldn't feel it with their acting. I don't think you can enjoy Godzilla at home as much as in the cinema. You might focus more on the mediocre script instead of dat roar!. But it's definitely a blast in front of the big screen.

Watched "Frozen" and story is ok but the songs are terrific and add more emotion into the story. I finally get why they got the Oscar for best song. The trailer for Godzilla actually got me curious if they'll have a good script for the movie. Disappointing to hear it's not as promising as the trailer.
