I'm 15 minutes 37 minutes into the film when one of the brother says: "It's war."
Literally nothing happenend yet except getting the point across that everyone was fucking happy before the war. Let's see where this will go.
Edit: Well, I didn't believe one bit of this constructed story nor did I care. The war elements of the films were of very high quality. They certainly copied a lot from hollywood, for the good and the bad. The acting was atrocious at times. It was so overly melodramatic with an overuse of tear-jerking music. What worked for me in "Saving Private Ryan" and actually put me to tears made me face palm in this film.
Literally don't think anything could've been done to improve this movie short of making it longer so you can enjoy it more. Tons of great actors all doing brilliantly and the style was wholly unique. It had it's own twist to things and it didn't have a story you could easily predict.
Wow really long but really great movie. One of the best ive seen in a while. Anyone here seen it what did you guys think?
I saw it. Jake's outfit was too small. It started as a good setup for a believable story, but soon turned into a typical movie plot with little incredibility. That is not a big deal, it was just not what I hoped for. Maybe it's because I saw Jagten prior to it and I was hoping for something equally realistic. tl;dr: I thought it was decent.
Once again, the first time I saw Grease sooo much of it went over my head. When we were in 5th grade our grade put this on a play and I still didn't pick up on how dirty is. It is one of the best musicals I've seen, though, and there are only a few songs that are hard to get into it.
Crows Zero was a cool description of a kind of Yakuza-high school. It's an all-boys school where they apparently spend none of their time in school and all of it fighting each other and smoking. If you're looking for some gang-land type films, this is one of them. A few things bothered me about the movie, but overall it was worth watching.
EDIT: Just finished Big(with Tom Hanks) and my only question is "did that woman commit statutory rape?"
Every once in a while I stumble across some movie that I had no idea existed, not even the slightest clue. Who in the hell knows what "Sorcerer" is? Time SOMEHOW forgets about the next picture that William Friedkin directed after winning two best pictures in 3 years, ("The French Connection" in 71 and "The Exorcist" in 73.) Or how about Titanic 2? Well, that one is a joke. But seriously. They make a sequel to fucking The Wizard of Oz!? And its not just some quick cash grab with a 30 million dollar budget... + Show Spoiler +
Return to Oz Mother of satan this movie is amazing. You thought those fucking bat monkeys from the first movie was scary? This whole god damn movie is a horror film. Ugh watch this shit. Some of the effects are unreal.
The Grand Budapest Hotel Pretty awesome.
Face/Off Nic Cage switches faces with Travolta and steals his life and wife... cant really beat that.

Do NOT watch. Utter garbage.
Has there actually been a Hercules movie yet, other than the cartoon, that was good? This year Hercules (2014) with Dwayne Johnson will come out. I doubt it will be any good.
Just finished watching 47 Ronin. Apparently the story was based on an old Japanese tale of a group of Samurai's loyalty to their master. A quick search on the internet showed that the way the movie depicts the story is pretty much true to the tale, except for the white guy and all the magical stuff.
Entertainment wise I think it was pretty good. Kind of a fairy tale with nice visual effects and decent acting (meaning nothing brilliant and nothing annoyingly bad). So I'd say watch it if you enjoy the hack and slash movies with over the top action like 300.
In the genre of aforementioned action movies I give it a 7.
If I had to rate the first Captain America I'd give it like a 5-6. Was fairly cheesy and was kinda meh. This one turned everything around and had that Avengers feel to it. Action scenes were 10x better and there was plenty of laughs. Maybe it was because I could relate more to Captain but when people got hit around I really felt bad for them because that shit looked like it hurt and was squinching and going "oooohhh" when they got smacked pretty hard.
STAY AFTER THE 2ND CREDITS. Please don't make my mistake and leave after the first usual Marvel glimpse. This one had a 2nd one after the scrolling credits too.

Aww, heck, really? I missed the second one. I'll just find it on Youtube later, I suppose.
Gotta give credit to its boldness. In my humble opinion this rather simple story doesn't justify a four hour film. Also I ain't a fan of this style of acting.
Highly recommended for anyone who finds enjoyment in the weirdness of Japan.
P.S.: It also features a great scene of a recitation of the bible which gives Pulp Fiction a run for its money.
Darjeeling Limited - Not as good as other Wes Anderson films. Story dragged at some parts, particularly after the first part of the journey. Quirky situations and dialogue and cinematography like all Wes Anderson films.
Cloud Atlas - Finally watched this in its entirety. The first time I watched this I lost interest and quit. But it's actually ok. It's 5 or 6 movies, in different timelines, rolled into 1 with just the interesting, although familiar, parts shuffled in. Some timelines are more interesting than others, particularly the one with a more sci-fi horror take. Also, Tom Hanks played one character that made me realize that I can hate a Tom Hanks character.
