Awesome and solid action movie. I like Anderson and her character arc, the special effects and action scenes are good, and it doesn't overstay its welcome with 95 Minutes.
No complaints but this obviously is just straight up action nothing more: 8.5 of 10
Looper
This never connected to me. I found all Charactes to be somewhat annoyingly stupid or stupidly annoying, take your pick. It came across as rather strange depiction of the time travel theme and had at least one rather weird plothole. The action came across as rather strange at some times, the special effects were kinda cheesy with the TK, and overall I wasn't really entertained. But execution wise it was okay (acting, make up, camera etc.) and it still had its moments here and there. Considering all this and the rather weird progression of the movie I would give it 5.0 of 10.

I recently saw "Wrath of the Titans" and "I am Number Four"
"Wrath of the Titans" was horrible considering high quiality actors and the possiblities in the story. The scenes were just bad, bad, bad. This movie could have been so much better! Directors should be asshamed messing up a promising series! First one was much better! And the hero, he is just depressing :/ why is he a hero again? He cant do nothing, and just relying on his godly luck...
"I am Number Four" was kinda cool, though quite short lived, not very deep and very classic cliche. Though I enjoyed very much many scenes and some cool gem one liners =) I love Science fiction, though maybe not as much in Twilight style.

It's confusing, tense and really gets under you skin. After that the story kinda comes together and you start to realize something horrible is going to happen. Still you don't know how horrible and the movie doesn't fail fulfilling the promise. Loved it. Only small complain is that you probably should read the plot of the book it was based on. Just the wikipedia plot description answered the few question I had since the movies sadly skipped a few things which the book explained. 4/5 that was one of my favorite movies last year - a must watch especially with the recent tragedies. that directors first film is really powerful as well

You guys should check out "Confessions"(Japan) if you loved that one. There are some similarities between them and it's better than Kevin imo.

Cat People (Jacques Tourneur) Irena (Simone Simon) believes she is a descendant of cat people, whose women turn into panthers when havingsex with their lover. She marries Olivier, but refuses to kiss him... While I'm not a huge fan of fantastic movies, I had to watch the film, the first production of the famous Val Lewton, directed by Tourneur, because it's one of the most influencial movie of all time. Here fear and doubt are left to the viewer's imagination, and the bus scene and the swimming pool scene are perfect from this perspective. Add a splendid ending and a pretty interesting sexual subtext, and you get an excellent film, which has aged very well. 8.5/10
Pickpocket (Robert Bresson) Michel is obsessed with the idea that the most brilliant men should have the right to steal to get out of misery. He becomes a pickpocket. On a subject strongly inspired by Crime and Punishment, Bresson delivers an absolute masterpiece on grace, love and acceptance of oneself. It's very bressonian in its purity of form, its austerity, the minimal but brilliant acting, but the mise-en-scène is at times an incredible tour-de-force, so much that if one were a bit provocative, he could qualify the longest stealing scene as one of the best action scene ever. The last words of the movie are simply perfect. 9.5/10
Oh yeah, I wanted to forget, but...
The Master (Paul Thomas Anderson) Joaquin Phoenix comes back from the war completely crazy, he then meets Philip Seymour Hoffman who is the head of a cult, and then their relationship develops I guess... Given my respect for the two main actors and I quite liked There Will be Blood, this was a huge desappointment. Overplayed, deconstructed, pretentiously filmed, this movie only managed one thing: bore me to tears. The thematic of the Master and its servant is not treated in any interesting way. Is it intellectual masturbation, or simply a failed movie ? Either way, you can not watch it. A few nice shots are of note though. 3/10

The dark knight rises 4/10
Are you a batman fan? Then you have already seen this. If not, this would be a terrible movie to start. It tries to tie all the loose ends of batman begins and the dark knight. Its long, It has it's super cheap i am an american movie moments. If you are just merely interrested watch The dark knight, heath ledger's performance is great. Batman begins is too wonky and not wonky enough to be entertaining for the not fan. Batman, batman return, batman forever, batman and robin are all movies from another time period, but each one is more entertaining to watch if you wanna go for a batman movie. Also tons of timing problems and the motivation of most of the characters are not clear.
La Délicatesse 6/10
It aint bad. And it is a french movie, which usually make me fall asleep. Audrey Tautou looks like a KZ-runaway, I dig anorexic chicks but that was boarderline kate moss. Overall it is really weird, felt more like reading a book, a good one though. A lot of little things make this movie, it is really playful with it's cuts and filmtechnique, yet does not rely on it. The plot is rather unused and such an ending only the french can pull off, I believe. I think it is my favourite french movie so far, yet it still is french. Also if you happen to be german, the translation is unter aller sau. I suggest to watch it in french with subtitles.
Merida 7(+1 from my mother)/10

This is my mother's new favourite animation movie, and she likes animation movies as much as I like french films. I honestly have seen to much animation movies lately, like entangled and rio, and they were so mediocre. What makes Merida special? First of all a not over used setting, with vikings, yeah! The graphic is just a little better than in other animation movies, the backgrounds with diffuser scrim look real. The hair of the main character is stunning. It's a great movie, go watch you shall be entertained. The thing I disliked though is the speed. I so was waiting for calm moment to really soak in the atmosphere of this highly romanticed medival universe, but the film does not take any breaks. Maybe there is a director cut or something, but this movie is too fast(for me).

It actually is ambiguous. That's the whole point of the movie. Watch it again and you'll find just as much evidence for truth to the Tiget story (Pi's honest tears when describing the Tiget leaving him, among many other things) as to the other story.

Watched Amadeus last night
![[image loading]](http://www.muscogeemoms.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Amadeus.jpg)
Loved it! As a guy who loves to listen to classical music I really loved the movie. I would recommend it to everyone but I believe that people who can't listen to classical music will have a hard time watching this. I think the casting was spot on and the plot line was really good.

Watched Adam Sandler's new movie That's My Boy... It started out really bad and I was about to stop watching after ten minutes. Then suddenly everything changed and it became one of the funniest movies I have seen in a long time. I just love how different it is from all the Judd Apatow copies that basically all comedies these days are.

Like someone suggested before, Argo is amazing. 8.5 for me.

I watched Back to the Future 2 with the girlfriend last night.
Our first date was watching the first part in a park, so we have an affinity for the series. Sometimes you forget how much product placement, and how many plot holes there are in movies like this. There is something so inherently charming about the way they were shot though that you remember why you love this kind of 80s blockbuster style film. .

Really wish the closest decent movie theater wasn't a half hour away... I would go see more movies.
Anyone else want to see Mama? del Toro is one of my favorite directors but the movie itself got rather mixed reviews.

I agree with the pacing of the movie. I had to watch it a second time to completely grasp the storyline, mostly because I was distracted by the animation though. :D Overall, its a pretty good movie, but I definitely think there are other animation movies that have better storylines. Aesthetically though, this has to be one of the best.

I might dare say Django Unchained is the best movie Quentin Tarantino has ever made.
Very solid 10/10. Blown away at every scene, every dialogue and every shootout. The movie was also hilarious at points and I laughed more than I have in a very long time.
I haven't bought a movie in years due to downloading most stuff directly to my computer, but this movie will be bought the day it comes out in all it's glory.

A Serbian Film http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1273235/
![[image loading]](http://www.filmmisery.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/serbianposter.jpg) Don't believe the IMDB score. I give it a 10/10, a score I don't really give out except to Old Boy and some other.
It is definitely NOT for anyone who cannot take some F-ed up stuff. There are some particular scenes that would make people go "OMFG is this movie gonna include this kinda scene? this is sick !@#!@ must ban the movie". Luckily the violence and F-ed up scenes are not too hard to take for me as they do look a bit fake to me (I think they have done it purposely so that it is easier to take).
This movie excels in all departments, acting in particular is damn good, the music etc. But the best part of the movie, imo, is the directing that really makes what is an already superb plot, into a one-of-a-kind movie.
I certainly would expect some directors will try to copy this movie, using the over the top theme as a marketing tool. But none will ever capture the essence of this movie as well as this director.
The ending especially will make you realise this was some REAL good movie you have just watched. That kind of closure feeling I have only ever gotten through some really good books, it doesn't make you think like inception, it will make you FEEL 'wow that was so perfect'.
It takes a lot of gut to direct this movie and you will need some to watch it as well.

Watched this yesterday aswell and I have to say, I agree with you totally. Loved the acting (You really could notice how Joseph Gordon-Levitt had studied Bruce Willis' mannerisms) but otherwise the movie was surprisingly weak. It's the best scifi movie I've seen in a while but I can't help but feel that it could've been much better.
I'd give it a 3/5 but people should still check this movie out, many of my friends liked it alot so I guess this movie just isn't for everyone.
