Watched Finding Forrester again for first time since it came out. First time I saw it I thought it was a decent movie but this time I thought it was superb.

![]() I expected a movie about some teacher motivating students to do better in school. Not what I got. I got something more realistic. Very little humor in this movie. Artsy. Good acting all around. I wouldn't watch this again, but some hipsters might like it.

![]() Pretty predictable plot, Actors were decent and Sam Worthington's accent is just too good and Genesis Rodriguez has to be one of the hottest Hispanic woman I have ever seen

![]() Decent Fun. Good humour. The themes felt a little too overt, but I think that was so they could reach a younger audience. Honestly I had no idea what demographic this was targeted for, since my dad recommended it to me. Clean enough for young kids, but there was some mature humor as well. There was quite a cast of voice actors as well. George Clooney, Bill Murray, Meryl Streep, Michael Gambon, Willem Dafoe and Owen Wilson. 7 /10 Applejuice. Applejuice flood.

![]() Berserk - Golden Age Part I I was expecting a crappy cut-up version of the anime, but it ended up blowing me away. There's intense fight choreography, superb animation and lots of blood :D. I recommend this movie to everyone!

It's got some over the top patriotic stuff (who woulda guessed) that's so cliched it's almost laughable, but it has some fantastic battle scenes depicting 18th century warfare. Probably the best "war movie" from that era that I can think of. yea the scene when mel gibson runs into battle with the flag in the final battle was great.

1) K-Horror is better than American Horror 2) (Some) K-Horror directors are much more innovative and knowledgeable than their Hollywood counterparts 3) People don't know how to watch movies correctly 4) Any time you ever explain the evil/monster, it instantly becomes a thousand times less scary. Antarctic Journal was an excellent movie, with very good acting, a very good story, and an unbelievably chilling setting/feel. I wouldn't normally call this movie a "horror" but it's listed as such. I would call it a psychological/suspense movie, with minor elements of classic horror. It was long and slowly paced, but I think the pacing was perfect for the storyline and setting. I would recommend this to people with good attention spans who are not scared of a dialogue and setting and character driven story as opposed to an action or thrill driven story. 9/10 Epitaph had one of the most disturbing and creepy images I have ever seen in it. The three stories that are being told in the movie are all scary to a degree, but mainly they are emotional and oddly enough, touching. I enjoyed this one immensely, but did think it was not quite as good as Antarctic Journal. 8/10 R-Point was very good, but suffered from one minor mistake: the characters were too dumb. Now, most horror movies the characters are three IQ points above legally dead, so the characters being a little too stupid is nothing to really worry about. Again, this was not a thrill-based movie, and instead uses the setting and tension as it's main source of scariness. This one takes a little more interpretation than the others, but was still very good. 8/10 Tale of Two Sisters started out very strong, but the ending kind of ruined it. A lot of things in this movie were immensely scary, and the story was pretty good. This seemed more like a classic horror movie than any of the previous three, and while it was probably a better movie than R-Point, I thought the end was weak enough to put R-Point ahead of it. Acting was very good. 7/10 White, Phone, and [u]Muoi: Legend of a Portrait were normal, run-of-the-mill horror movies, with Muoi being the most formulaic and predictable. I enjoyed all three of them, but would not necessarily recommend them to anyone who isn't looking for a standard horror film. The first two get a very low 7/10 for me, with Muoi getting a high 6/10. Wasn't as incredible as people made it out to be. I was expecting to see some OH MY GOD HOLY SHIT type stuff but there wasn't really any of that. The movie itself was a decent tale of revenge. I guess I just expected more. Also watched Let The Bullets Fly last night and it was awesomeeeeeeee. Not at all what I expected. The action was fun, it had funny moments, and I'm pretty sure it was very witty (there was 1-2 parts where I felt like I was too dumb to understand the humour... although thers a possibility it was just poorly translated). Definitely reccomend this one. Also I love this thread.

Definitely will check it out now, thanks ![]()
