Just watched Men in Black III
I thought it was really enjoyable ^^ fun watch and worth the time imo
+ Show Spoiler [but] +I couldn't figure out for the life of me what exactly caused K to change so much anyway, assuming that in the "new" (or the "final") future, K has become more outgoing or something. Even if he technically hasn't really changed, I just don't understand what caused the fallout between him and O, and that general huge change in personality, as J makes a big deal out of it... was it seeing that officer get killed? Just doesn't make sense that it affected him that much.

I just found that pretty difficult to believe :X

I dunno. It's just that he becomes this... total hermit-like silent dude suddenly after that incident after meeting the officer maybe an hour or two ago. And doesn't he see people die this way all the time? Maybe not necessarily to save his life but.... eh :/

The relationship between the two characters (Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson) truly shows how two people can truly bond in the most array of situations in their lives. First time through, this movie literally brought me to tears, and that does not usually happen to me. I would recommend this movie to anyone. It's kinda boring though. There's no flash in the movie.
But yes. I think if you have a similar story then you can relate.

I finally watched "I saw the devil" thanks to this thread.
Jesus Christ, that movie was completely sick. But so damn good at the same time.

![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/fqtuN.jpg) Pretty awesome movie. It's a low-budget ~45 minute movie that aired online (pretty cheesy too), but it's really funny and the songs are catchy and brilliantly put together.
It's really short and you can probably find it on youtube or something so I'd definitely recommend watching it.

A lot of themes I can't relate to, was very detailed, very subtle, but underwhelming for me. The Return is my favorite movie so I was looking forward to this one.

Hunger Games Pretty bad. I read the books and like the first as the characters weren't too one sided. The acting is bad though. No dwelling on important subjects either.

I just watched Alien today (after watching Prometheus today at the cinema)
Note that I never was a big fan of old movie. (I enjoyed movies like Citizen Kane, although very old, because my expectations were only about characters and story ; it seemed that the old graphics of Alien disturbed me) Anyone can tell me whats so great about Alien?
I've found Prometheus to be quite enjoyable. Loved the two female characters (especially the cold one!). Fassbender was great too
Also, the cat was the biggest troll ever

Also, the cat was the biggest troll ever Visually, Alien was and still is amazing. (won best visual fx oscar.)+ Show Spoiler + Alien has arguably the best art direction in any film today, which was done by H R Giger. + Show Spoiler + It was the first movie to show a gritty and realistic future opposed to the spot clean look of 2001 A space odyssey, and not just the aesthetics, all of the dialogue is very believable. + Show Spoiler + Plus there were so many plot twists and they all make sense, and memorable scenes. And remember no Alien, No Starcraft or any other videogame with this genre. Oh yeah, and the original trailer for better or worse changed trailers forever. Slow build up to a climax of images and all fun stuff. Its a great movie, one of those that kids will rediscover years from now and dig it. EDIT: Just watched this Shit was awesome, maybe only for cronenberg fans, came out about 2 weeks after the matrix, and really brings darker themes to that idea of what is real and what isnt. its also pretty funny and shows how dumb videogames are.

God Bless America
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/IilO1.jpg) + Show Spoiler +When I first saw a trailer for this movie, I thought it'd just be senseless violence protesting stupidly against stupidity. I just found the movie title on one of those online streaming sites and thought why not? The movie does something well. The two do not hook up, unlike in some other alternative superhero movies like super, therefore you can tell it's not just trying to appease me or any geek like me. I still can't agree with killing all the people that bring down society though, I know the anger and the feeling that I'm working for a society that doesn't deserve it from when I was younger. I now just chose to ignore it and move forwards anyways. I like that the movie didn't back down or try to overly justify killing others. There was a degree of realism that was missing: dying people tend to cry more and talk less, but it's not something that most people would notice. The movie's really trying to do something. I'm not sure what. But it's a good social commentary. It doesn't say why anyone else's view is wrong, or why being average is wrong. It just says it with no proof. Don't expect anything too deep or philosophical. Watch it if you liked Super, or Kickass, but felt Super was a bit too overboard. Also, TL has an entire thread on the subject. Here's a quote from the thread that I think rings true. On April 16 2012 14:50 Gamegene wrote:Show nested quote +On April 16 2012 14:02 StarStruck wrote: Bullshit sir.
How about those who use social media?
In any case you can apply it to anyone. We're all full of ourselves to a certain extent as implied by the cartoon.
Goes back to the thread we had about selflessness and what we really gain from it. This movie caters to people who base their views on society soley on media need to go outside and realize things aren't as bad as they make it out to be.

+ Show Spoiler +I enjoyed this movie as well, it had a had a cynical sense of humor but overall it was quite enjoyable because it really hit home with all of society's problems and how insignificant they really are, and how there are very few "real" people left. Plus the modern parodies were quite hilarious too

A very fast paced movie that I enjoyed quite a lot. Originally I saw it only for Hayden Christensen, but it was a very pleasant surprise. It's the same genre as Ocean's Eleven.

I just watched The Patriot for the first time recently. It's got some over the top patriotic stuff (who woulda guessed) that's so cliched it's almost laughable, but it has some fantastic battle scenes depicting 18th century warfare. Probably the best "war movie" from that era that I can think of.
