Although I don't like Indian movies this one was great. A comedy with tragic elements that could make you cry if there weren't these stupid songs in it. 9/10
I also watched Three Idiots. Was fun at start but after 30 mins, they started singing, I turned it off. It was like the Indian College Musical.

pretty decent movie. netflix recommended it to me. i wouldnt watch it in the theatre or rent it though.
Trust: 9/10 I never would have understood why people take on a role of protecting their abusers. Why people don't report bad things that happen to them. Acting is just phenomenal.
Watched this and got bored pretty quickly... Acting may be decent but plot is very banal and above all it's filmed like a random tv series. No style, just one more formated us movie with the classic overused piano-violins soundtrack to make you shed a tear amongst all the usual clichés.
all i know is if i see one more chronicle commercial from team liquid...i might just only watched own3d.tv streams from now on...seems like team liquid is forcing commercials more and more...
Apocalypto - Liked this quite a bit even though it is a slow-paced for awhile in the beginning. There are also some historical inaccuracies with some of the stuff in the movie but whatever. It was never meant to be a documentary after all.
Apocalypse Now - I know, I am really late with watching this. I remember trying to watch the Redux version a few years back but turned that shit off pretty quick. Anyways, I am sure everyone already knows the story so I will just say that this is one of the best, if not the best movie based on the Vietnam War. I really wish I would have seen it earlier.
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - Finally getting around to watching the entire Vengeance trilogy (only watched Oldboy up until now). Overall, this was disappointing for me. Pretty slow moving movie. Luckily the action scenes sorta made up for it.
The Mothman Prophecies - I was actually looking forward to this a bit since I have a bit of a interest in cryptozoology, and especially mothman. This really was not that great..alot of random shit going on and alot of it is just not explained. It's just like "yeah, this town has alot of weird shit going on." The whole mothman stuff takes a backseat to all of this as well.

Of course, what were you expecting, for the movie to actually make you cry? To change your political beliefs? It explains how young girls are preyed upon by internet pedophiles and the aftermath.
I watched tangled over the winter break with my little brother. I thought that was pretty fun. If you've seen enough stereotypical disney princess movies though, and you're tired of them, then tangled won't be too fun for you.
Pretty good movie, and the average nerd/geek i think can really enjoy this movie and root for the main character.
I'm watching this now. It seems fun, makes you relate to the main character since he's smart but doesn't try hard enough. Acting of minor characters isn't amazing. I think it tells the nerd story very honestly.
Just saw Warrior for the second time today...still, in my mind, in the Top 3 films of 2011, if not the best. This is not only the only movie I've teared up like a little bitch in(the relationships between the father and his sons), but one of the best choreographed in terms of fight scenes I've yet to see. It really needs to be seen by more people.
Two brothers face the fight of a lifetime - and the wreckage of their broken family - within the brutal, high-stakes world of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighting in Lionsgate's action/drama, WARRIOR. An ex-Marine haunted by a tragic past, Tommy Riordan returns to his hometown of Pittsburgh and enlists his father, a recovered alcoholic and his former coach, to train him for an MMA tournament awarding the biggest purse in the history of the sport. As Tommy blazes a violent path towards the title prize, his brother, Brendan, a former MMA fighter unable to make ends meet as a public school teacher, returns to the amateur ring to provide for his family. Even though years have passed, recriminations and past betrayals keep Brendan bitterly estranged from both Tommy and his father. But when Brendan's unlikely rise as an underdog sets him on a collision course with Tommy, the two brothers must finally confront the forces that tore them apart, all the while waging the most intense, winner-takes-all battle of their lives.
Watch J. Edgar on monday because it was Clint Eastwood directing and because the French press loved it unanimously. I have to say whilst I loved the quality of acting from everyone involved (except from the guy from Burn Notice as Kennedy), especially Leonardo di Caprio in a role that seems to be unlike his personality but that he impersonates brilliantly nevertheless, the storytelling and pacing of the movie was really... off. Clint Eastwood tried to adress every part of Hoover's life, his homosexuality, his relationship to his mother, his hate against communits and human rights activists as well as his neurotic character but it ended up just too incomplete in all regards. It was like he tried to put too much into one single movie and then ending up not treating any subject appropriately. Plus, the whole flashback style of telling a story didn't turn out well after all. A cheesy ending to top it all off. Apart from di Caprio's brilliance, it was a big disappointment.
And then, one day later, A Dangerous Method. I had high hopes for a new Cronenberg masterpiece, but was disappointed again. The acting was fine (Keira Knightley as a mad person was really painful to watch, in a good, convincing way). The story was lackluster however, as a drama it failed completely for me and left me weirdly untouched. The character of Freud didn't get enough attention and remained bland throughout the movie (maybe he just wasn't that interesting of a guy, but he just wasn't compelling at all). In the words of one critic: "In truth, Mortensen has a far more intimate and palpably emotional relationship with Freud's omnipresent cigar than he does with Fassbinder's Jung". Learned nothing new about Freud and Jung either - maybe I just read them too much beforehand. Disappointed.
Both movies aren't bad as in hollywood everyday bad, but from those directors I expected something more.
I'm so jelly for u americans for having netflixs I wanna have that T_T seems so awesome day9 even uses it. Ah Australia slow with everything new....anyone know a way for my to use netflix even tho i'm Aus
This movie has no soul. Just a generic action/adventure movie. Only cool part was the long oner, and also the pirate fighting.
20 Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy (2011) - 6.0/10
Nothing really happens in this movie. A character has an objective, and he goes about accomplishing it for two hours. There aren't really any major obstacles preventing him or any time-related stakes; he just does it. Who thought that this would be a good idea? The only really interesting parts are when he's talking to other people and they tell stories of what happened to them.
20 Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011) - 6.5/10
Instead of solving mysteries through observation and deduction, Holmes solves things by using his ability to see into the future when fighting people and running away from people with guns in slow motion CGI sequences. This is dumb.
20 Starbuck (2011) - 8.3/10
I thought this would suck, but it didn't.
20 Café de Flore (2011) - 4.5/10
I thought this would suck and it did. Nothing happens in this movie. Just a bunch of trying to be artsy shit with next to no plot or anything at all interesting happening.
