Yeah, he's probably a little bit fatter than he should have been. The wall is also a lot thinner than it should have been judging by the stability of the construction and the climbing angle (they where climbing pretty much directly 90 degrees up, but the wall is only like 10 feet wide at the top). There are almost only perfectly shaped women and strong muscular guys in the show, which lets be honest at that time with their diet should be a rarity. Then theres the fact that anyone seems to be able to just chop or rip off bodyparts of people, even Tyrion! There's a ton in this series that are out of place or just plain weird. But your biggest gripe being "This one guy is a tad fat. I can't watch this!" is hilarious.

No where in the rules of this Universe has it been implied that you can be fat without cause. Actually there semes to be a "rule" that you do not really have to eat in the world of game of thrones. The wildlings can support a camp of 100k+ people in the north, daenerys and her people can cross the red waste without any kind of preparation,... If you see it that way it is perfectly consistent with the rest of the show :D I think one should focs on the characters and if there actioning is plausible. Questioning physics(Even if you apply certain rules) will make it hard to enjoy the show.

So again, I'm not one to usually care about this stuff. But being in constant movement, always being called fat and having those around you starve to death... You can't hate on people if that irks their brain because it should. That being said, who cares. It's a mistake/something they didn't bother doing, so forget about it. Anyways, I predict that Sam as a character will be skinny one day.

You can freeze plenty of kinds of food, and so I dont consider it particularly suprising if a fairly large body of people, having advanced warning, collected and maintained enough of a high protein food to simply sustain themselves for...what? A month, two, three? We dont even know the time frame. It's quite possible that whatever explanation is given will be ridiculous, but thanks to ambiguity there is no way to dismiss it. Sam is fat amongst starving to death nights watchman. That is explicit and there is no ambiguity. And Daenerys was starving and dieing of thirst [quite a few died] before she got lucky and stumbled into a city. Plenty of people make idiotic excursions into deserts and survive.

I still cannot wrap my head around how angry the fact that Sam is still fat seems to make you. It's so utterly random that of all the inconsistencies the show has, it's Sam being fat - something that's simply impossible to fix, mind you, given that they only have so many days to film everything. You expect a human being to lose significant amounts of weight for a TV show within just a few days - what ticks you off.
