If you don't know much about the mountain, you can look up the season 2 extra on House Clegane. He's literally the hulk. Legendary Tier - Barristan Selmy, Syrio Forel - these guys are referred to by their legendary deeds. Prodigal Tier - Brienne, Quorin Halfhand, Jaime Lannister, Thoros of Myr, Robert Baratheon - these people were born to wield a sword and were properly trained to do so. Talented Tier - Loras Tyrell, Ned Stark, Jon Snow, Sandor Clegane, Bronn - these people are talented swordsman, much better then your avg lot, but not quite the special specimen of the prodigal tier. Skilled to Trash Tier - every1 else That being said, it doesn't really matter how skilled you are w/ a sword when a single dragon can fly down and chomp you into pieces. Or some wizard decides to burn you with wildfire. or if some red priest gets resurrected. | ||

Robert's weapon was a Warhammer. He even talks about it when him and Selmy are talking about their first kills. Mine was some Tarly boy at the battle of Summerhall. My horse took an arrow, so I was on foot slogging through the mud. He came running at me, this dumb highborn lad, thinking he could end the rebellion with a single swing of his sword. I knocked him down with the hammer. Gods, I was strong then! Caved in his breastplate, probably shattered every rib he had, stood over him, hammer in the air. | ||
