You can't really rank fighters that well because so many people fight with different styles and in different conditions. For example, if this was a tournament, you can be pretty sure that anyone without training such as Bronn, Drogo or Syrio, would suck. If it were a duel however, those three would be better (and even then there's differences, as Bronn and Drogo would probably do better it more chaotic situations where Syrio would do better in a more set-up duel).
In terms of talent, Jamie, Selmy and Loras would probably all be similar in their primes. You gotta keep in mind that Loras is a lot younger than the other two and still has a lot of room to reach his potential.
If we were just talking in terms of "if you just told two of these guys to kill each other, who would win" kind of situation though, all the faceless men would be on the top of the list, because they can easily change their faces and poison the other guy.

Tier 1 : Barristan Selmy, Carl Drogo, Jamie Lannister (with 2 hands), Quiro halfhand, Syrio Forel Tier 2 : Jeor Mormont , Sandor Clegane, Eddard Stark, John Snow, Brienne of Tarth, Robert Baratheon (when he was young), Bronn, Loras Tyrell Tier 3 : Gregor Clegane, Thoros of Myr, Jorah Mormont, Beric Dondarrion, Stannis Baratheon, Yoren, Robb Stark
Probably forgot some ppl. This is who I expect to win in a 1v1 melee combat.

If Syrio came from there and was considered their best fighter, I would have to pick him in a swordfight against anyone from Westeros. Anyone who's considered the strongest in a city full of shapeshifting assassins must be legit. Agreed, I think Syrio at the very least should be almost as good as Selmy. According to the show-wiki, the First Sword of Braavos is pretty much the Lord Commander of the King's Guard for Braavos.

Every unsullied is probably at least t3 since they haven't done anything else in there life then train.

its ok, if Tywin sees Jamie later, Tywin will simply use his fatherly authority to "force" Jamie into getting good with his left hand.
Tywin: sup u are back? o hand gone? you are a lannister, u are tough, now get good with ur left hand. Jamie: wtf, no sympathy even? Tywin: you are my son and you will do as I command! Jamie: fuck life.

Well now that Brienne's around, I don't think Jaime will have the opportunity to practice his left hand anytime soon.

OT.
Anyone else think Brienne was actually damn hot when she stood up in the tub and we only got an ass shot. First chick in the show that actually made me go, "DAMN", when they got naked. All the other "whores" haven't really done anything for me tbh.

Just in-case the moderators decide this is a spoiler, ive put it in a spoiler tag, but i haven't read the books, only a bit of the wiki on prior events to the game of thrones series: + Show Spoiler + Although not commonly accepted, if you research the events during Robert's rebellion prior to the tv series ( i havent read the books so i guess this isn't a spoiler?), clearly Ned stark is teir 1, and high up in tier one. I think he's part of the theme of fame makes people get a reputation for a better fighter, and humble personalities are usually underestimated, with jamie, on opposite ends of the spectrum, he fought 3 men better than barriston selemy, at thier prime, one who is the best fighter of all time, and won, with 6 northerns who weren't particularly good fighters and a man only known to be a coward from a tournament.

Forgot about Dany in the fire in S1, you are correct, think I was too distracted by the dragons to think about how hot she was lol. Robb's wife is ok, doesn't quite amaze though.

As fun as power rankings are, you really can't get too accurate without teetering on spoilers. At least Selmy is on most lists =P.

Well, my reasoning is to 98% based on information in parts of the books that already have been aired in the tv series. Like information about half-hand that "now" is dead, that he was famous at both sides of the Nights watch vs wildling conflict for his fighting.
+ Show Spoiler +Jaimie became part of kings watch at that time, when it was really good warriors in it, and at an early age. But agree that ned probably could be t1, Hard to tell how much the number advantage matters.

+ Show Spoiler +Since this is the TV thread I don't think this is the right place to talk about it, but I don't think your interpretation of the events from the wiki article is correct.
