I hate watching this show wtf are you fucking kidding me. "Hey heres a lot of touching scenes showing that the Lannisters aren't evil. OH YA AND BRAN AND RICKON ARE KILLED BECAUSE FUCK YOU ENJOY NEXT WEEK SEE YA" FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU i wonder what your reaction were after + Show Spoiler +
I just got the gf into GoT (I've read the entire series already) so I set up a little hidden camera right before that scene, and she.. yelled and then started to cry. And then... she started to sob, uncontrollably....After five minutes of that it became super awkward and I realized I don't deal with other peoples' emotions very well.

I did not understand that scene where the guy picks up the walnut shells.

Well, the obvious way to look at it is that the scene shown earlier in that episode was of Rickon eating them so he found their "trail" so to speak.
Although I'm not sure how they would have known he was eating walnuts.

There was another scene, in an earlier episode, where Rickon was eating walnuts as well. Or rather, he was bashing them to pieces or something, which annoyed Bran who was sitting next to him with Maester Luwin trying to deal with some business.
So I supposed Rickon's love for walnuts is well known to those around him.

Disturbing ending i must say
|
that episode was very lannister focused. besides the whole ygritte mind games thing and the theon ending.
i really love how the writers threw in that "twist" with jaime killing alton though it wasn't entirely unexpected. and the whole catelyn-jaime exchange was so good. "what was the bastard's name" "Brienne---" "no, that wasn't it"

i was really pumped for dany going to the house of the undying guess i gotta wait another week =(

The Lannisters are by far the most interesting characters in the series. Jaime's scenes today were fantastic and I'm really glad that he's finally getting more spotlight.

Waiting for new episodes is so hard.About to break and read the books.

I really enjoy the banter between aria and tywinn. Also, you never saw Bran and Rickon captured, I would guess that its a ruse. Which is why he sent the Maester home. although where they got the children is beyond me ><.
Is it me or does it seem like Lady stark is going to fuck things up? she seems like shes really gonna fuck with Rob's plans.

Too bad Joffrey + Cersei are so fucking evil, you can't really root for them because of those bad apples.

Why did he seem so confused when he saw them hanging? Or do you think it was just because he had only just realized what he had done?

I think he is just messing with everyone, I don't know what happened in the books, but I think that's fake, I mean it's pretty stupid to kill them.

He might have been shocked with how they looked when they were toasted.

It seems to probably have been the orphan boys that Bran/other brother were talking about, I can't imagine they'd rid Bran like that. I don't understand the facial reaction from Theon though, nor do I really get the finding of walnut shells necessarily.
That being said, although this was a VERY talky episode, I thought it had some of the best dialogue exchanges this season, really great development and monologues from basically every single pairing (Jon and Ygritte to a bit less of a degree, but kind of cheeky funny).

Count me in as one who thinks the burned corpses aren't Bran and Rickon.
But the more I think about it the more I think the Starks are still in for it. I feel like as long as the war continues in Westros the thing that rips at my heartstrings the most is seeing one of the Starks harmed. Every time they show Robs camp they play these warming, noble pieces and you just relax for a bit and think "finally, some decent human beings for a change." Maybe I'm just paranoid after last season but it just feels like One of the Stark boys is going to die by season's end. Arya and Sansa I'm less worried for, though I'm really not looking forward to an impending Sansa / Joffrey rendezvous, but for completely different reasons.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was awesome in each of his scenes today. "Whatever you do you break your vows" followed by his mention of Jon Snow was just incredible. Speaking of him, its going to be extremely interesting to see how long Jon sticks to his vows. I'm also very eager to see the long talked about, but ever mysterious Mance Rayder, and to hear of what he knows about the happenings beyond the wall, and his motives. Trials abound for Snow, can the bastard son of the noble Lord Stark make it through without betraying his honor? Honestly I hope not, the Black Brothers are such a bore compared to the Wildlings. Samwell Tarly or Ygritte? Lord Commander Mormont or Rayder?
The lack of any kind of Stannis scene for like 2 episodes now is kind of getting on my nerves. Here is one of the major players in this fracas, one much effort was invested in setting up his story, and he's been absent. I know his fleet has been sailing, and aside from that he hasn't done much, but it just feels like too much screen time to go without so much as a scene explaining where he stands now.

after seeing some of the deaths in the series, i kinda don't want to get attached to the characters because any day Martin might wake up and say "well, who should i kill next"
|
The soundtrack is incredible. Holy heck.
