It takes forever between his book releases No they probably won't have to do that. Because if lets say they renew the show for all of the books they still have to do books 3,4,5. Book 3 is gonna be 2 seasons and hasn't even been started to get filmed yet. So that means that the second season of book 3 will probably come out around lets say around late 2013-early 2014. After that they'll film book 4 which I think they should just do 1 season for it, because it's pretty terrible and just get done with it and that'll probably come out by the end of 2014. Book 5 they probably split into 2 seasons again, because it's long and interesting, and that means it'll probably be done around somewhere in 2016. Now with these calculations in mind you can see that Martin has around 4 years to finish the last book from which he already said has 7-8 chapters ready in his personal blog, and with the pressure of the series over him I think he'll make it in time, unless he pulls a Jordan on us. | ||

And it can change a lot from one episode to another. FYI, they're already very short on budget as GRRM stated himself in post-S2 interviews + Show Spoiler + He talks about a massive battle in one of the last episodes of the season, which he would have liked to have more budget for since he thought it could be even more epic People tend to forget that HBO is probably the only channel delivering such high quality / high budget show with this epic dimension (you know that little feeling that you're witnessing something HUUUUGEEEE when you're watching it). | ||

Its been some time since i read books, but Arya's storyline surely is among the most interesting ones. As for the rest i agree, 1 scene per episode for Dany&co are more that enough.. So far i've been disappointed by the first 2 episodes because we only got maybe 8 mins total of Daenarys  And instead we get mindless fucking scenes, and whores crying. fuck them bitches, give me dragons.And the fact the she's pretty much lost in the middle of a fucking desert without anything, fighting for her life. While all the other "kings" are living comfortably in a castle makes her that much more interesting. And it's lame to have finished the season 1 the way they did then not show us dragons in s2. The all conclusion of s1 was watch out for the Targaryen they have dragons now, only to ignore the Targaryens almost entirely so far. I AM THE DRAGON !!  | ||
