That and due to HBO's unwillingness to give this season an extra few episodes they wont be covering all of ACoK in season 2.

Finally got around to watch this show. I ignored it for so long because in the back of my mind I thought I were once spoilered with the show playing in roman times.
Imagine me going "huh no romans? ... great another boring lord of the ri...h-holy shit this is awesome!!"
Boy was I happy after the first Season. I've read in some other thread where someone was stating that we live in the golden age of television and this show certainly proves it to be true. Great production, great cast and engaging story with a great amount of boobs and blood.
I can't remember the last time I felt so immersed by not wanting a certain character to die and felt almost like time stops when it happened (well it kinda did ;D ).
Can't wait for the second season and with the, from what I read here and there, strong books I think we have a great future ahead.

I am about to start the season finale oh my god why didn't I watch this earlier.

Because you didn't want to overload your brain dreaming night after night for next season

Yea, waiting for next season is a chore, especially with crap TV like Falling Skies and Terra Nova in the meantime.
I am still hoping they will release some DVD S1 with director's cut scenes in it :D
|
Yup i love this show. This and dexter make me a very very happy panda. I feel like at times the story moves a lil slow but that's part of what makes it so awesome! At the end of one episode you're all jacked for a battle then 3 episodes later you realize it still hasn't happened yet.

I think that would actually be a brilliant move for them. There's so many of us craving the next season... I would really consider getting DVDs for extra lol.

I will get it whenever it comes because I didn't watch it on HBO and I want to support them so they don't cancel the show like they did with Rome ( )

Next April guys, this is nothing. Try to imagin what is to wait 4 or 5 years at a time between books... Hell I might even have kids when the next book comes around.

there is a bit of a moment in the 1st book that i missed while watching the series(i must say i watched the series about a month before i started reading the book and i still greatly enjoyed it even though i knew what was coming- i feel that it accents on slightly different stuff then the show) and because you might be like me and consider reading the book after watching the series i'm spoilering it + Show Spoiler +i completely didnt get the Starks- Little Finger betrayal thing. Is Ed Starks completely stupid? He wanted to king the guy who wanted to outlaw Little Finger's primary source of income- brothels? And he asked for the latter's help? I can't even say that LF betrayed anyone that was so stupid. That's like telling a drug dealer you're gonna rob his supplier and then asking him for his help and acting shocked when he shoots you - surely what hes doing is amoral but will anyone think anything but "this guy got what's coming to him?"

that is definitely NOT why Little Finger "betrayed" Eddard
remember the scene in the brothel when Little Finger was talking to the whores ? he basically admitted he loved Catelyn you can figure out the rest

Was the fact that, Stannis was his name iirc wanted to ban brothels actually in the movie at all?

To talk about this would mean to breaks the rules. But the TLDR answer is no.
