Come on. + Show Spoiler [what is Ice?] +It is the name of a sword already shown on TV but not mentioned by name Why cry about something like this not being in the show? I mean it really is a small thing.

I wasn't crying about it, but if it's not on the TV show it shouldn't be in the thread. That's the rule.
Though, I could've sworn I knew about it before I cracked open the book for the first time.

Just watched episode 9, I had thought I would have finished the series last week when I had gotten into, but I loved it so much I got all my friends into it. We are all going to watch the finale tomorrow night, I'm pumped Also I noticed the part where Tyrion gets hit with the hammer edited out of the OP. I saw that part today and couldn't stop laughing, where can I find that GIF?

Best shit EVER!
The best TV series of its genre. I watched the 10th episode three times over, the ending sends goose bump into my spine every single time!
Getting my hands on the books asap!

You should read the last chapter in the books too. I think the ending was actually the weakest part of the show for me. The books made the end feel much more powerful.

would I be interested in this show to give up my "only hulu and netflix" life style? I don't watch those shows, but when I do, I prefer Game of Thrones. please watch the wire. any way you can. please! I rated both The Wire and Game of Thrones with 10/10. Whoever misses or refuses to watch one of these shows is just a poor and sad person.

After watching the show I genuinely thought Theon Greyjoy was one of Ned's children, didn't know his name, and had no idea who Rickon was. When I read the book, I was like 'who was Theon? I don't remember this character.' It wasn't until seeing that GoT RPG video that it all became clear. I feel like a simpleton.

To be fair this mistake really is really easy to make the way they wrote the show. I haven't read the books yet (getting the first one tomorrow!) but they make the 5th Stark child show up maybe 2-3 times the entire season, is just there, doesn't make an impression/say anything until the final 2 episodes. The character Theon confused me for a while too.

Two autographed scripts from season one that were sent via the US Post service went missing. Those scripts were supposed to be auctioned for charity. I appears that they were stolen. If you see them on the net: call the police!
exact description: Here’s what was taken: two teleplays, final shooting scripts for episodes nine and ten of season one, “Baelor” and “Fire and Blood,” autographed by writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss and director Alan Taylor, printed on white paper.

Well, I understand the confusion given the number of characters. But they have 5-6 scenes with Theon where he talks about his past and who he is in detail. I don't really know what else they could have done to make it clearer.
Episode 4: Tyrion talks to Theon in Winterfell and reveals that Theon is a sort of hostage there. Jaime and Jory talk about the Greyjoy rebellion, how the Greyjoys lost, and that the youngest son is a ward/hostage at Winterfell. Episode 5: The iron islands are pointed out on the map by Bran and Maester Luwin. They say that the Greyjoys are the rulers there, and some more characteristics of the Iron Islanders are pointed out. Later a (S)exposition scene with Theon and Ross where they mention that Theon is a hostage. Episode 6: When they are out in the forest, Robb says that the Starks is not Theon's house. Episode 7: In a conversation with Osha, Theon reveals that his father is still ruler of the Iron Islands, and explains some other customs from there. Luwin describes him as both a guest and prisoner, just as Osha is.
