I've become angrier and angrier and how this season has unfolded. Leveling the playing field is one thing, but completely ignoring battle tactics so you can throw away Dany's armies while also sniping Rhaegal from several thousand feet away is hilariously unbelievable.

Though Brienne was already covered by the Jaime/Brienne hot tub scene. There's no real escaping the 'this woman hasn't had a sex scene yet' aspect of the show. I think their more than mutual attraction is actually pretty important for the plot. Part of the Jaime & Cersei relationship is that they're in this world together for each other and no one else is there for them. Jaime's emotional closeness to Brienne is sort of a wedge that allows him to question that fundamental aspect of his character. If it was merely a platonic emotionally connection I'm not sure we could see Jaime question himself in the same way. She showed him there was another path and possibly a chance of redemption. He left Cersei to go fight the WW's to prove that his word was worth something despite being the Kingslayer. He didn't need his dick to do it and it just cheapens his entire character development. He found another blond to fuck so he could briefly forget about Cersei.

By the time he sends Brienne back out there's already some tension about how he feels about her, more so in the books (we get to hear Jaime's thoughts and dreams), but I feel like it still clearly exists in the show.

The writing is literally worse than The Walking Dead. I didn't think it was possible for any other show to sink lower than TWD, but here we are. The show is so bad that even my normie co-workers think it's terrible. These are the same people that watch Avengers unironically. Every single scene has characters acting out of character or making moronic decisions, or experiencing demensia, or gaslighting other characters. I haven't seen writing this bad since the Star Wars prequels. I am in awe and cannot decide whether D&D actually this incompetent or have some kind of pressure from the top brass to turn this show into Hollywood shlock so that more people will watch. I genuinely hope that it's the latter for them, because if it's not then I would be genuinely concerned that they are developing early-onset Alzheimer's and are slowly losing their minds. I wish I could put this show down and forget about it but I've spent 9 years watching and have to see it through - and many people I speak to feel the same way.

The writing is literally worse than The Walking Dead. It's bad, but definitely not worse than TWD. It could be if the Sand Sneks were still alive, but fortunately they're not.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they got a ton of confidence with making a historically great show but then once they ran out of the content they were leaning on they were forced to write the show itself and were no longer shackled by budget or future story constraints. I find it funny you try to be hipster about the low quality of Avengers but clearly put time into TWD past the first season.

There are some spoilers for the end of the series loose on the internet which have been confirmed by everything that it predicted happening in episode 4. The remaining episodes should be the dumbest things that ever dumbed.

Although I agree with your overall statement, this is a pretty condescending way of saying it. You seem to think that you're above people who enjoys the MCU. You may have different taste than "normies", but you should take a step back and maybe have a more positive way of thinking and talking about other people. On another note, if the spoilers about the ending are true, they will get the biggest shitstorm ever from... pretty much everyone.

All important characters dying, none of them dying, half of them dying, anyone can kill anyone, whatever it is, should be all right as long as it makes any reasonable sense along the story line. Like, lets say everybody die but Euron so he sits on the throne somehow will make sense, but Sansa killing Jaimy while he sleeps to get the throne wont, thats what I mean Do you think episodes 3 or 4 made sense in the overall narrative? I guess if you ate that up then yes, they can just keep shoveling shit.
